Coles "Swiss Gold" 250g Gift Pack of Chocolates, Milk and Dark, Only $2

100

calling all fatties

Head on down to Reservoir (and other?) Coles where they have 2 different varieties of "Swiss Gold" Gift Box chocolates flying out the door for $2.

They had heaps there when I was there last night (scout's honour, I only bought 3 packs).

Swiss Gold is Coles own brand, but for me chocolate is chocolate, and found this as a cheap cheerful gift for my employees.

Best before date is end of July 2012, so hurry up and consume your calories. And I'm guessing they are clearing them out before tomorrow's (Wednesday's) catalogue starts up.

And guys, the calories from these chocolates will go straight to your gut, and ladies, sorry, it's hips and thighs for you.

Enjoy!

Darn…I should've shared as well but I saw that these were selling for 50c at Coles Southern River with an expiration date of 08/12.

      did they taste nice?

        yeah…except this was last week.

        …and I hoarded 2 trays for a grand total of $7.00. :(

I happened to be there when they were shuffling them onto the floor to make space for other stuff. The staff had an open box and was giving them out to customers and saying, "Grab a box, they're only 50c!" When I asked, "Why? Whats the occasion?" they were like "because we love our customers" without missing a beat, lol. I took one box, then two, then one tray, and then another :(

The staff laughed at me. It was not my proudest moment.

Chocolate was fine. Not the best, but far from worst.

      • It's coles home brand. Nothing to do with the real Swiss chocolate (Lindt).
You get what you pay for.

Were they flying out the door because people were chucking them? :) From all accounts, it's horrible chocolate, so no wonder they were remaindered.

Agreed. They give all employees a box at Christmas time, and we couldn't even eat them. They were horrid.

  • damn, paid $5 yesterday at coles Barracks Bris.

    were $15.

    • same, but in nsw

  • its okay, tried it on the weekend, not horrible like most cheap chocolates are.

  • Seems good, but can you tell the rest of us the size/weight of the pack please?

    I like the tags!

  • It's a Coles chocolate, that they try to disguise by calling it "Swiss".

Pass, I despise efforts like this to trick the buyer.

  • I bought a box of dark chocolate for $5 (Sydney). Tried it - and it's Excellent! Went and bought few more.

  • I bought one for a friend's birthday for $5 a while back, didn't realise it was Coles home brand with the "Swiss" branding! I should ask her how it tasted…

  • These chocolates are made in Switzerland. So they are Swiss - and it's not just branding.

    • Since you've bought them: can you scan the "Made in Switzerland" part? because when I checked it (and I am a fan of chocolade made in Switzerland, I didn't see it. Not even all the Lindt Chocolate is made in Switzerland. Alot is made in France/Germany and Italy. Now you can call me a snob, but even then you can taste the difference !
