      Gore-Tex is normally expensive, any GTX shoes under $100 I would say is a good deal

      I have a Vasque. It was same price with a clearance Scarpa at the time at Paddy Pallin but I bought the Vasque one.

      Never again…

      Fell apart in the first 2-3 hike (3-4 hour max). I’d rather buy one from Kmart lol.

      Also in general ‘Goretex’ last about 20mins and ‘breathable’ my backside… I had many gorerex shoes over the year. A simple surface treatment is usually better for rain and if you are walking on the puddles or sth just wear gun boots.

        Agree Gore Tex isn't breathable but it's a million times better than spray to keep rain out.

          Surely you know the words learning and experience and their meanings, right? Or do you think everyone knows everything and instantly knowledgable for all buying decisions?

          Also if anything sales man at Paddy Pallin that I talked to should have helped me as the person who is suppose to be knowledgable about the subject.

    I've worn the mens version of these pretty much daily for a few years and they're good as new. Super comfortable, and waterproof.
