    $46.95 @DM, is pickup though

    • $54.95 at Dan's in WA because WA Tax.

  • +1

Bought it for 59 with increased cashback weeks ago. It was also bundled with a glass. I thought it was a gimmick but I liked the glass.

  • Got this as a present from a subbie - delicious. Highly recommend.

  • +3

These usually drop to $42, nice Gin though.

    • +5

$3.05 more and delivered rather than having to go in store… Okay.

      • -6

$3.05 more and instead of picking it up while you're at the shops anyway you can have it handled, individually packaged (with plenty of padding which all goes in the bin) and delivered to your house by a courier.

        • +7

Each to their own, if you live a short distance to a DM, great - pick it up.
I live a 2 hour return trip by car to my nearest DM, for $3 extra, the delivery is a steal

          • @MorriJ: Yes very different then!

          • +2

@MorriJ: Rent a place next to DM and save the $3, true OzBargainer spirit XD

          • +1

@MorriJ: Ouch where do you live? :(

            • @prankster: Just outside of Wisemans Ferry, NSW

              • @MorriJ: Ah shucks but beautiful area, I’m sure you had a big house and nice land size and quiet :)

        • Ok but what if you just saw this right now and you’re not at the shops?

          • @smartazz104: Mate, do whatever you like, but don't act like you're not responsible for the shit that will go into landfill because of your consumer choices. I gather I'm getting downvotes because people are feeling a bit attacked.

Real answer: Dan Murphy's offers click and collect. You don't really need the gin delivered. It's just more convenient. You could C&C and go pick it up next time you are in the area.

The externality of the waste that you've generated that will go in landfill to decompose for millions of years is not accounted for in our current economic system - if it were, getting it delivered would likely be somewhat more expensive.

            • @Nuggets: Amazon packaging has been recyclable for many years now including the tape they use. It all goes into my recycling bin. And I order A LOT of stuff from Amazon. I don't recall any packaging that has been used in the last 12 months at least where it had to go into my non recycling bin.

Courier/Flex driver wouldn't only be delivering to one location but to many on the delivery route.

              • @cute as duck: It may be recyclable, but that doesn't mean that it is being recycled into something else. Recyclable just means that it is possible in theory. The first R in 'reduce, reuse, recycle' is not recycle… Recycle is the last and least desirable outcome of the three.

Simply put if you want the gin and you can grab it from the Dan's that you pass by anyway (doesn't apply to everyone, of course), you will generate less unnecessary waste. Whether you care or not that's your choice.

            • +2

@Nuggets: You’re probably getting downvotes for your holier-than-thou attitude.

              • @smartazz104: Well let me set the record straight that I have a prime sub and I order things online all the time. I'm not saying that people shouldn't order online or that there is some nirvana you can achieve but giving some thought to minimising impact / waste where possible is well worth it. If I can find the same item but in store and can secure the deal (not always possible) I will try to grab it when I am heading to the shops anyway.

The original comment was arguing that it's better to pay an extra $3.05 and have it delivered to your front door and from a consumerist perspective with no regard for any negative external impacts, sure it's better. Go for your life.

..And apparently, a factual description of the online delivery process is a holier than thou attitude, and that's why I was being downvoted - not because some couch potatoes browsing OzBargain read something that struck a little too close to home :-)

Tempting! I would jump on this but I recently discovered Manly Spirits Gin!

Not commenting on the Price per se, but DAM Roku is a freaking awesome Gin. Obviously it's no Tanqueray 10, but it's super inoffensive and subtle, a great standard gin. Super good value, you can use it in cocktails (even use it in place of Vodka since Vodka is generally just a tasteless base, and Roku is subtle enough to add just a hint of juniper), you can drink it in G&T etc. you can put it in a punch or similar, honestly, you can even drink it straight (do not recommend). Apparently you can get it a little bit cheaper at Dan Murphies, but honestly, at any price below about $60 this is a great 'every day gin' (I don't drink every day, but if I did it'd probably be Roku).

10/10 Roku is my go-to normal gin.

I drink Roku straight. It's awesome

    20% cash back at BWS

    • And I've got an offer for 1800 rewards points with $60 spend at BWS. They have a Gift Pack for $61, looks like it includes a glass. Cash back brings it to $50, points make it $41.

      • What’s this 1800 reward points?

        • Everyday rewards. Probably targeted, but both me and my partner got it in the app.

      • +1

Cheers, checked and I had 2000 points for $50 spend, plus 20% BWS cashback.

  • Just bought some dasher and fisher for 59…. next time i guess

  • So confused how does this deal have a neg without a comment?

I got mine for $40 from Amazon because of $10 off $39 or more prime spend. That beats BWS 20% Cashback on $59 bottle. Thanks OP

    • +2

I’m prime but don’t get this offer so how do you get it?

      • Not sure. It just was there above the add to cart/buy now. It was then applied automatically when I checked out. Not sure if it matters that I'm on a one month prime trial?

        • +1

Was probably this (assuming you used the app), says expired but it's been going on for years. @prankster

  • Dan Murphy pickup for $47 is cheap

  • +1
