Experience with Ready Credit Card @ Bendigo Bank?

I’m wondering if anyone on OzB has had experience with Bendigo Bank’s Ready CC. I’m looking to do a big overseas trip next year and have been researching cards with no international fees. The Ready card seems to have a lot going for it: no fees, travel insurance included, reasonable interest rate, and a promotion with 0% interest on purchases for up to 18 months.

It ticks all the boxes I’m looking for and I’ve read through the T&Cs, which seem to be straightforward and not have any hidden ‘gotchas’. If someone has this card and would like to share their experience I’d be grateful.

  • I think the card was only released in late November. If I'm correct it might be tough to find people with a lot of lived experience so far.

I suspect the international rates are fairly standard, comparable to 28 degrees and Bankwest with the standard cash advance gotcha (don't use at ATMs). In terms of the travel insurance I would look at getting additional insurance if it's an important enough trip, but YMMV.

    • Oh, I’m definitely getting extra insurance. The last thing I want is a simple medical issue ending up costing as much as the trip itself.

I did look at 28 Degrees as I’ve known a few people who have it and said it’s pretty good. Latitude Finance are not terrible to deal with as long as you keep up minimum payments, but I’m attracted by the extras the Ready card offers.
