I’ve got an unprotected iPhone 14 pro and this makes me nervous!
What is the best (if I drop the phone it won’t crack, not bulky etc) case that you can recommend from your experience?
And screen cover?

Don't use a screen cover, none come close to the user experience of the glass itself which is scratch resistant already. Even the tempered glass ones don't feel the same.
No case will 100% protect your phone, it could crack even in an Otterbox if the conditions are just right.
Buy AppleCare+ and stay naked to enjoy the sleek device instead. If it gets damaged, just request a replacement.
Otterbox
I was rocking the otterbox defender for most of my 2 years of iphone 12 pro and **** me it made the thing into a brick but I'm fairly sure I could drop kick it across the room and it would be fine. That thing was solid as hell, just really impractical to fit into a slim fit pants pocket (that's probably why its bundled with a hip holder by default).
As I bought the phone outright I actually never considered apple+ so will look into this (android convert so still getting used to these things 😂)
Durex is good for protection.

For low cost protection, KMart provides basic screen protector and case if you don't want go with the AppleCare+.
I use quadlock. Has protected the iphone from dropping couple of times. Its a bit bulky as its a mount + case.

Depends on how accident prone /clumsy you are. For me (drops phone on average < 5 times per year), Kmart tempered glass screen protector ($6) and hybrid, shockproof, 3 piece case from Ebay ($11) does me fine.
havent used a screen protector since my iphone 3gs.
case i swear by spigen ultra hybrid clear case, its usually about $20 posted when on sale.
dropped my 7, 12 and 14 pro on tiles, concrete, floorboards etc from various heights and survived.
the only thing is it tends to go yellow after 12 months or so.
