Good Price For Second Hand PS5 (Digital Edition)

Seeing all the PS5 deals, I am pretty tempted to pick one up but also don't want to spend above $700. What would be a good price to pay for a second hand on on facebook, I am talking with a seller who agreed on $500 which comes with a controller but not sure if it's a good deal for a second hand one. It comes with controller and no box.

See/compare to what other sellers are posting their PS5s for?

    Check Gumtree as well

There's not really a definitive 'good price/deal' for second hand items

If you're price sensitive buying a console, the digital edition is not for you. Physical disc games are much much cheaper in Australia and you don't want to be stuck to the expensive digital PS store.

Also, don't buy it second hand. You want a new one with full warranty coverage first and foremost. As well as risk of possible scams and getting a broken/banned console etc. It's not a smart move.

Agreed console disc versions can be had for $799 less 15% TCN cards with full warranty

Yeah its crazy the price difference, even new pre-order games can be up to $30 more expensive on the PS store then IRL. I feel like you do this a handful of time and then you've made up the cost of a physical.

Saving $150 and risking a dodgy facebook seller and potential issues with warranty. No thanks.

If you don't want to pay over $700 then just buy a brand new digital one for $650. But really, as the post above says, but the disc one. It'll pay for itself in the long run.

Just be mindful that it might turn into 'please pay a deposit and I'll hold it for you'.

    If so, walk away.

  • I know monies the issue but personally , I wouldn't buy second hand .
Waiting is hard , but buying someone else's problems is harder !

  • For just a little more moola you get full warranty without worries. Or if you are willing to wait, it is rumoured PS5 Slim will be released next year. They will all be digital only with an external disc drive option.

  • You want to save money but are interested in digital console. Get the disc version, at least you'll have the best of both worlds and save money quite quickly from the resell market and or buying cheaper physical in most instances.
