Opinion/Recommendation - Bosch Universal Aquatak125 (1500W, 1820PSI) or Gerni3000 (1670PSI, 1400W) Pressure Washer?

Looking to buy a decent pressure washer during the holidays and deals season to mainly wash my car.

So looking for expert recommendations/ personal experience on which pressure washer is a better choice between these two? Looking to only spend around $130-140 for a pressure washer.

Will also be needing a foam canon and adapter to use with. So those are the add-on costs to the pressure washer.

Bosch 125 is available on Amazon for $129 whereas Gerni 3000 is available at Bunnings for $139. So both have similar costs.

Bosch has 2+1 yrs warranty vs Gerni showing to have 2+3 yrs warranty.

Both have 5m hose.

Bosch has 1820psi vs Gerni 1670psi.

Any other differences you guys can spot?

    Check the flow rate

Usually stated in litres per minute

    Higher flow is better

No point in having high pressure if the stream is the width of a needle

    • So the Bosch says 360L/H whereas the Gerni says 7.3L/M. So ideally Gerni would come out better to be at 438L/H

The width of the jet is controlled by jet size.

  • Karcher K2 perhaps?

  • I went in to get the 3000, walked out with the 3600. 1m longer hose on a reel and some additional accessories (some already had though)
reel is a smidge better than looping it up by hand, it got smoother on second wind though
I had a 110.S classic which had lower ratings than either of the 3000/3600 but have never thought I needed more grunt

  • There is a formula for working out the cleaning power of pressure washers. The Gerni is 12% more powerful than the Bosh.

  • Either is ok but ask around before buying a Ryobi!

  • Bosch has really annoying hose that is extremley difficult to connect with each other. Go for Gerni

  • I've had a gerni super 140.2 for about 10yrs, maybe more. The main reason I got it was the longer hose, on a reel and the hose itself was also covered in a cloth type covering making it not so bad at gripping onto the tyres as you inevitably drag it around and also it will not stay all springing and coiled. The only issue has been the gun. First G4 died after 8-9yrs, replacement from bunnos lasted less than 18mths. The nilfisk G5 gun is an upgrade but I went with an MJJC gun and wand, which has been a fantastic upgrade.

I've been very happy with the gerni and would recommend you look at the hose of any washer you are looking at purchasing, as it's something you will have to live with or replace with an aftermarket hose that will cost a decent % of the purchase price.
