The Good Guys - Store Cash - Did You Receive It? 2nd/4th Thursday Payment

Hi All

I purchased the Breville coffee machine a week back from Good Guys (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/745132) and immediately prior to purchase did the storecash signup and downloaded the wallet to iphone.

I received no email or any other communication having signed up which I thought was strange.

Anyway, according to their FAQ, store cash should have been paid/credited on the 22nd December based on it being the 4th Thursday in December. When I open the store cash card in wallet and click the info button it states I have no store cash.

"StoreCash is paid on StoreCash Pay Day, every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. StoreCash is conveniently paid directly into your active StoreCash Digital Wallet, ready to use next time you shop at The Good Guys. Just remember, StoreCash has a 10 day expiry – so make sure you use it fast!"

Just wondering if anyone else has / hasn't received store cash yesterday 22nd?

EDIT - I'm wondering if they have got me on a deceptive wording technicality in their graphic …

When you shop IN STORE, ONLINE OR OVER THE PHONE by Dec 23:
Earn $50
When you spend $500-$799
or $70
When you spend $800 or more

When you shop ONLINE AND CLICK & COLLECT by Dec 23:
Earn $20
When you spend $200- $299
Earn $30
When you spend $300 - $499
OR Earn higher amounts by adding Gold Service Extras to your purchase

I spent $889 online.. but I did click and collect from store…. would be super dodgy if they used the deceptive wording to get out of paying this.

  • bought $900+ item on 3rd Dec. Got email yesterday but it didn't have store cash voucher at the bottom of email as it did the last time around so I had to find the phone number i used on the order and for storecash registration to recover the voucher.

      The main thing is that the mobile number you give to the cashier at POS should exactly match the mobile number used for your store cash registration that's all.

    "When you shop ONLINE AND CLICK & COLLECT by Dec 23" implies that online and delivery orders are excluded, but online and C&C orders are included.

    "When you shop IN STORE, ONLINE OR OVER THE PHONE by Dec 23" implies that all in-store, online and phone orders apply, whether delivered, C&C or otherwise.

    You need to have collected the item by Wednesday the week before pay day. The store cash should come in 2 weeks time as you may have just missed the deadline for pay day on 22/12/22.

    This is on their FAQs:

    • Your StoreCash will be paid when you have received/taken delivery of your qualifying purchase by Wednesday the week prior to Pay Day.

    TGG has one of the worst "redemption" scheme ever, almost scam like. Signed up for Concierge and later was told I need to receive marketing for it. Bought something else to receive a Gift Card, also told that marketing needs to be ticked. But I was still receiving their email ads anyway.

    Anyway, check if your account is ticked for marketing as that's their excuse all the time

    • Customer support said I likely missed the cut-off window - and if not present in the wallet on Jan 12, to contact them.

    • Finally got my $70 today!
