The annual Steam Awards event is back, and with that are free trading cards to be earned by:
- As a reward for purchasing from the Steam Store
- Crafting game badges
- Voting in the Steam Awards
- Browsing your Discovery Queue
- Trading with friends
- Purchasing them in the Community Market
There are a bunch of decent sales available on the platform, so worth having a look at.
You can sell them all for about $1, and if you do the same thing in six months, you get another $1, so $2 free a year to spend on random Steam stuff. I also got $7.44 free recently from a World of Warships promo.
You can also get a free daily digital sticker.
These expire don't they? So if we don't sell them or break them down they go poof and disappear right? Not really familiar with how steam trading card go.

At least this one has a monetary value albeit in the cents.
