Ovela 100% Natural Bamboo Sheet Set (All Sizes) - $19.99 + Delivery (Free with First to Select Postcodes) @ Kogan

1580

Absolutely love these sheets, and this seems like an all-time-low by far! I’ve bought a couple of sets around the $50 mark and think they’re worth that, so this seems like a terrific deal. I’ve just bought 3 more sets.

Super silky texture without the slipperiness.

Update 25th - some sizes/colours sold out. White sold out in all sizes. Check out the links below:
Sage
Indigo
Charcoal
Navy
Silver

Also score yourself a $14.99 quilt cover set (only in Navy) - thanks @ozvictor:

Which one is better? Cotton or bamboo? I heard that bamboo sheet might be a bit cold to use in winter? https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/ovela-hotel-quality-1000tc-cott…

    • +3

I’m in Queensland, so my winter is your summer. But you can always chuck a thicker doona over the top, not limited to the single sheet :~)

  • Have you used these sheets for long? Do they pill at all?

    • +2

One set for maybe 18 months or so? No pilling, just a few tiny rips.

  • at this price its worth grabbing a set .. normally cheap sheets are thin and dont last … lets see how these compare to $200 sets I have … which are still thick, soft, silky after couple years.

  • Just sheet? No pillow cover included?

    • +1

There is. Read through the specs. Flat, fitted and 2x pillow cases

      • Oh there is. Thanks.

I was reading the description under "In the box", which I read as "1 x Ovela 100% Natural Bamboo Bed Sheet (Queen, Sage)". Just noticed it also mentions Sheet Set.

  • +1

my bed is king single size and it's so hard to find bedsheets which fit. Would have liked to try these for such a good price.

    • +3

You could just buy a queen double size and tuck the fitted sheet in.

Plus you would get an extra pillow case and if you varied how the sheets were centered they would last a bit longer, as the wear would be distributed over a larger area.

  • Not free delivery for me do I need to do something else? Never bought there before

    • Activate your trial for Kogan First :~)

      • +1

I did and it didn't give free delivery

        • +2

I didn't get free delivery either. I'm guessing that you only get free delivery with Kogan First if you live in a major city (happy to be corrected). It changed to free delivery if I changed my postcode to Brisbane.

          • @faulding: Ah, my apologies cobbas, shouldn't have assumed!

      • how many times can you do this? I've ordered in the past by activating and cancelling koganfirst but think they have a limit

    • Me too. NSW regional.

Tried the Kogan First free trial but obviously no use for people outside capital cities

  • +11

They also have the bamboo quilt cover set for $14.99 if you want to pair it with the sheet set, only the nevy colour at this price: https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/ovela-100-natural-bamboo-quilt-…

    Navy sheet set : https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/ovela-100-natural-bamboo-bed-sh…

    • +1

Cheers for the quilt cover set link :)

  • Are these fitted sheet?

    • +2

      Yep. From the listing:

      Dimensions
      Flat Sheet: 245 x 265cm | Fitted Sheet: 152 x 203 + 40cm | Pillowcases: 48 x 74 cm (2x)

  • Shame there is no white in King size.

  • +1

got 3 thanks op one of each colour

    • +1

      Probably. But they’re good!

      • +1

Yeah viscose is actually a relatively premium fabric but is in not “bamboo” by any stretch of the imagination.

    • +9

1 star review: They are soft and silky as advertised, BUT, they are also 100% viscose, chemically derived from bamboo. The chemical process is dangerous to workers and the toxic water is usually dumped back into the environment. I don’t normally give bad reviews, but Kogan shouldn’t greenwash their products. If it’s viscose SAY IT’S VISCOSE!

  • +1

Do these pill after washing a few times?

Bought a few high thread count bedding from Kogan in the past and was disappointed with the pilling…

    • No pilling for me.

    • +3

I have 2 of these. One pills the other didn't. Luck of the draw I guess.

  • +1

Was thinking about getting the Kmart set but for roughly half the price with shipping included ($19.99 + $12.99), it's worth a shot.

  • +1

    Thanks, got one

  • +1

    ordered
    2x sheet
    1x quilt cover

  • +1

Have just bought a few sets - hope they are as good as Doy has found them.
    Thanks for the post!

  • +1

Ordered 5 sheet sets and quilt set. Thx

  • +1

Thanks! Been looking to buy some bamboo sheets.

  • +1

    Got one thx op

  • +1

Thanks OP, also bought their 7 pack of bath towels as reduced to $39.99 from "$150.00"

  • Anyone else have experience with these sets? Might be worth a shot even if they pull after 1 or 2 washes

  • +3

    Thanks!
Combined with CommBank's Rewards offer of Kogan spend $100 get $15 back.

    • Arrgh. Forgot about that!

  • +1

    No double bed sheets?

    • Check the other colours, the different sizes/colours will likely sell out at different rates

  • +1

Thanks for sharing and the insight helped to grab a couple for a good night's sleep!

  • +3

    • Your comment may make the price drop further. Let's wait and see.

    • +2

It is pretty funny its called "100% natural bamboo", it should be false advertising (there's nothing particularly natural in how viscose is made….)

  • +3

just remember that bamboo (or viscose or Rayon) can shrink….a little bit every wash, even cold washing and line dry….so sheets might fit well to start with, but over time they will get a little harder to put on the bed (fitted sheet)

  • +4

I hate Kogan. Bought some. Thx

  • +1

Grabbed a pair, lets see what comes my way :)

    Thanks OP!

  • +2

These are great! Warm in winter cool in summer.

I've gone bamboo everything - pillows, socks, doona cover and sheets.

I bleached these sheets accidentally about 2 weeks into ownership so have grabbed a few more sets with this deal. Cheers!

    • +3

Same! I didn't expect the peak of adulthood would be owning identical sets of bamboo underpants and socks and throwing out all the others :D

  • Does anyone have an idea on the thread count?
I can't see it mentioned anywhere for any of the colours

  • +1

AWESOME DEAL, thanks OP, I bought 2 sets and I actually needed them.

  • White all sold out, have updated the deal with direct links to the other 5 colours still left in stock, and @ozvictor 's $14.99 quilt cover deal!

  • -4

Reviews say that they are thin and don't fit.
Wouldn't surprise me if kogan had accounts on Ozbargain 🙄

    https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/ovela-kogan-1000-t…

    • +3

You’re right, I’ve been priming this account for 10 years for this very moment

      • Playing the long game. Hehe, but for real hope to hear some feedback here about the quality on these

In house reviews and product review can both be dodgy.

        • Anything for Daddy Kogan <3

I’ve had a few sets for a while now, they’re my absolute fave. Maybe a little thin, but they’re super comfy and have stayed in great condition apart from a few very small rips. Probably somewhat luck of the draw, however.

          Bought another 3 sets!

  • Bamboo sounds so much more sexy than viscose.

Cotton is the GOAT bedding material though in terms of value. Wool a close 2nd. Linen & silk for top Gs.

  • Anyone else got a long delay on shipping of these?

    • No delay for me. I ordered quite early though. Happy with purchase.

      • I ordered on the 23rd. Some been dispatched. Some processing in the warehouse. I suspect I aint getting them.

    • +1

I ordered on the 24th and it has not been dispatched yet.

    • I just got 1 silver set delivered this morning (ordered 2 other sets and the dooner cover)

Ordered on the 24th after being notified by 100 votes

I thought it was strange only 1 out of 4 items came (so far) so thought i'd check and comment here

      • Also thought i'd add;

The Ovela packaging was completely ripped open on one end.. It also has an ovela warranty card that says 'your product has had a long and adventurous journey. The packaging may look like it's suffering from a little travel sickness, but still should be in perfect condition'

It almost seems as this has been returned before.. Anyway, in the washer now.. Keen to put these on my bed later today

        • Let us know how the feel.

          • +1

@Yola: Yeah so far so good. The fitted sheet had one corner of undone stitching, but the underside of that corner (where its integrity is) was fine with multiple rows of intact stitches.. So just a minor aesthetic thing

They look good and feel good.. And hopefully hold up over time with lots of wash cycles

The rest of my order came today but wont get a chance to open and wash just yet

            Hope you get yours @Skellysgirl

            • @Sublimit: Thank you for the report. Could you please update after some use too? I was considering these but I have had a bad experience with bamboo sheets in the past. I think these will come back in stock so would be good to know. Thank you in advance.

  • +1

Mine have started to dispatch so that’s good news. I have these same Ovela sets in the past. My oldest ones must be close to six year old. The white is due to be replaced as it’s discoloured. The blues silver and charchol are still in good condition. They still keep me cool, are a touch faded after hot and cold washes and no fraying at edges. I have had maybe 8 sets. One of the fitted sheets developed a hole and had to be trashed. 1 flat sheet I cut it slightly…it frayed quick.

I have dyed some sets too, it was quite successful.

  • +2

Been using these sheets for a few nights now and they are fantastic! Thanks OP for a brilliant deal.

  • Ordered double and single. The single sheet arrived quickly, but the doibke one never did. Contacted Kogan and was told the delivery depot couldn't locate it…

    Anyone had a similar experience?
