if you watching it in your backyard then don't need a portable, just put a LCD in your backyard somewhere..
if you said for taking it on a camping trip etc, then sure that would be more useful.
Also at almost $700 for this, the review/s has been bad.
Picture quality, viewing is quite poor on anything but a white background (ideal setup) + indoors

You also need to buy portable batteries and carry case (for portable use)

I know the Samsung Freestyle Projector does. This would be the deal breaker for me.
I don't know. It uses WebOS 5.0.
My LG TV uses WebOS 6.0. it doesn't have Plex but it does have Jellyfin.
@DASHCAM NOW DUDE: I have the Plex app on my LG G1 and C1 as well as another LG LCD TV. From what I can tell they all use WebOS, although not sure what version.

yeah the review comparison also shows better pic quality compared to Freestyle too.
though in that video it uses a Pro instead of pro+ (though I assume it would be similar quality or better on the pro+)
Yes it's portable but one key missing feature is USB support. You can only use this with built in apps and got to have internet connection. So can't really take it for camping or basically outdoors or on vacations.
Still looking for Ultra short throw projector under $1000 from some reputable brand. But I guess projectors are getting cheaper, hopefully we'll see one soon

Fair enough but that's just one reviewer having issues.
Having said that, I bet it'll be a pain to get any replacement parts in Australia.

Get the XGMI Pro+ for a similar price. Beats the Freestyle in practically every category for ratings.
A fair price for the freestyle would be something in the range of $400-450
at this price
why not just get a LCD TV instead which would be nicer to watch on
