  • CS is $2.5k cheaper, why would you go for this, the evo panel? Not worth that imo.

    • +1

      Also no stand

      Good warranty though

    • It depends on your use case tbh, I find the G2 to have a much more premium build, and the wall flush is pretty important for me to mount in my living room. It’s also brighter by a fair margin compared to the CS.

      • Must be amazing because the CS is bullet proof in build quality, imo, not sure if you've seen it up close but if you have and the G2 still beats it, must be unbelievably good, because I would buy the CS, just for it's build quality.

        • The CS is definitely amazing, bang for its buck. I did see both of them up close. The G2 comes with a silver finish on the outside - which in my opinion makes it look more premium. That may be niche but the brightness was definitely a deal breaker for me. Especially because I have windows pointing towards the TV.

  • Some of the OLED info out there is confusing

A couple review articles advertise G1 G2 panel as WRGB (not "W-RGB"?) though still with the same text clarity issues across the board with the other LG OLED series which remain as W-BGR(RWBG on rtings) on third-party tests

    Samsung QD-OLED have triangular RGB

Currently, only the premium/professional LG UltraFine line have "truer RGB" with more subpixels in traditional alignment for text clarity.
    * Though even this one looks non-standard https://www.avsforum.com/cdn-cgi/image/format=auto,onerror=r…

    • I hope this helps? https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tests/picture-quality/text-cl…

Fwiw, I believe QD-OLED's triangluar pixels cause mild fringing at close range, and I believe WRGB OLEDs this is far less of a problem. If I was reading ALOT a lot of text, perhaps that would sway me to WRGB vs QD, but honestly, I doubt it.
