Bought a Roborock S5 Max by popular recommendation from this forum a while back and a number of parts on my app display they need to be replaced.
Can anyone give me advice on:
1. Do we all buy genuine parts?
2. Where do you buy your parts from?
Tried looking through AliExpress on my own but couldn't filter out merchants who might supply rubbish accessories
Just ordered some parts from China for my S6, which should use the same parts - the only thing which was a little annoying was that all the cheap kits have the 3 arm side brush and not the 5 arm. The 5 arm side brushes can be had for less than $2 AUD per piece (free shipping) on AliExpress though.
Will see how they do.
I bought a genuine battery from Robot Specialist 's Black Friday Sale for our S5 (mostly cause I've never had good experiences with non-genuine batteries for phones), still yet to fit it.
But all the consumable parts I've bought (Filters, side brush and Main Brush) have been likely knockoffs from AliExpress/eBay. Haven't had a problem with them.
Not sure if they're genuine, but I've bought spares off Amazon and they work fine. Comparing to OEM I can't notice a difference.
