240

Seems like a pretty good price. It was the same price on Amazon the other day, but that deal has now expired.

It's the same deal. Amazon was pricematching jb, now jb have restocked

  • The question here for me is it worth it to buy after playing the original Persona 5.

Added a story arc and some extra demons. I personally found it a cashgrab.

Agreed, it can be seen that way.

It can be taken from the perspective that if you didn't get the PS3/PS4 versions, you can now play it now on the current gen console with all the DLC thrown in.

Take the Last of Us part 1 and Okami by Capcom as example.

Guess it's just a way they need to make money. :-/

personally i think all of the added content is well worth it, and is generally an improvement in practically every way over the original. but you can wait for a better sale/price later on if you aren't in any rush to play it

  • I bought this game three times. On the PS3, on the PS4, and the Royale edition. Still haven't finished it, but I liked it a lot. Does anyone know if the PS4 Royale digital edition automatically upgrades to PS5, or will I need to buy it a fourth time?

    EDIT: Mother Fricker https://www.eurogamer.net/ps4-owners-of-persona-5-royal-wont…

    • Pretty garbage isn’t it. I purchased Royal for PS5 when it came out and never finished it. Was thinking of replaying it on my PS5, but this has left me feeling dirty. I wouldn’t mind paying $20 to upgrade, but >$50 is a joke.

Just a word of warning: I click and collected this from the South Wharf DFO store on the weekend and they just gave me the steel book and game, unsealed and with no slip cover. It’s not super clear from the product images that the game is supposed to have a slip cover, so I left confused and then went to another store later to try to get an exchange. The staff there told me that they receive all of their steel books like that because of the ban on soft plastics (not true). I decided to return it and order it from Amazon instead, who sent me a sealed copy with the slip cover.

Hopefully this was just a weird isolated incident, but it sounds like JB either opens these games and throws out the slip covers, or they were trying to sell me a used game as new. Super disappointing either way.

BS on the soft plastics, etc.

Depending on the game title and their stock, JB gut their games them and put the cases on the shelves (just like EB). If they're not lazy, you can ask them to get a sealed copy from the back (if they have any).

That’s crap. I just picked it up from JB and got a sealed copy.
