TheGoodGuys - Return of Faulty Headphones after 2 Months of Purchase

Hi OzBargainers,

I bought a Bose 700 less than 2 months ago from TGG, and yesterday afternoon it stopped working (it didn't turn on).
Under any law (ACL, or TGG's) can I ask for a refund if they couldn't fix it in a reasonable amount of time? I don't want to wait for weeks to get it fixed (I use it mainly for work), and I also don't like receiving a 2nd hand product from someone else.

Thanks!

I think you'll be able to get an immediate replacement off the shelf if they have stock, at the end of the day going in to the store is the only way you'll know what remedies they will offer you.

Assume that headphone is dead, no matter you change cable, it can be counted as major issue, thus it's your choice under ACL to ask for refund or replacement.

  • Thanks all.
I went to a store, and they straightly gave me two options: refund or replacement. Not sure whether they checked stock or not.
    Thanks.
