Bathroom Niche Inward Slope Cause Water to Stay

Hi 👋
The niche is our master bedroom bathroom is a bit inward which cause water to stay after a bath. Is there a DIY which i can do to fix this? Like pouring some transparent resin? In case if this can't be diy then i want to know what could be the estimated cost to fix it.

Just sweep the water out when finished?

Could ghetto it with a piece of glass cut to size. Glue it down slightly tilted to the front.

that would be a great way to get a nice mould artwork underneath the glass

      • Yeah but no one will see it under the shampoo bottles

      • Fractal Design

  • How much water pools in there? Even if it was level there will still be water pooling on it.

If you don't want water to pool on it you will have to cover it up with something, like a curtain or something so that water can't splash into there.

  • If its a new build, or reno, then i would call it a defect, and the builder should correct it.

If not, can the bottom tile be removed and reset with correct fall.
How much is it worth to you to fix it.

    • The house is 3 year old only. We bought it last year.

      • Oh, ok. It's probably too late. Defect warranties have varying time periods. Each build can be different and depends on the contract.

  • Remove and replace bottom tile. Cost? No idea but it’ll likely be a couple hundred.
