Great deal. The Pro 2 is IMO the sweet spot of their range - all the features you want, none of the useless features of the higher models. The his-and-hers colouring of the two brushes is a bit off though - aren't we past "pink for girls and black for manly men"?

    • +6

Indeed. I asked my wife earlier and she said you can have the pink one 😂

      • I know how wears the pants in your family. 👖

        • Haha

    • Not sure why people neg-ed your post

      • maybe cuz s/he assumed "pink for girls and black for manly men"

    • +4

That's for 1. This deal is for dual handle.

    • +3

OP's deal is basically "two for one".

    • The Pro 3000 at Woolies is OOS.

      • Shows available at all Woolies near me.

    • +2

As others have said, this is two for one.

Also, the difference between 2000 vs 3000 is negligible. An extra medium speed setting (for what exactly?) and a brighter light. That's it.

The jump from 1000 to 2000 was much bigger (higher rotational speeds and lithium battery, the latter resulting in two weeks of battery life vs 5 days).

Nice find. The Oral B Pro 2000 has a lithium-ion battery unlike the other models usually around this price point, so it's a decent model that will last. Personally, I'm waiting for the IO Series to come down way in price.

    • cost of brush heads is a deal breaker for the IO series

      • Good point, I think the replacement heads will come down eventually.

If Oral B wants to increase market share of IO they’ll need to reduce price or increase the qty of brush heads in the pack. They’ve started this approach already by launching the IO Series 5 and IO Series 6 as lower cost options.

        • Honestly mate, do you really want an IO series?

I looked at this myself at length. My conclusion is that it's just a gimmick. After you use the Bluetooth features for a week or so, are you actually likely to use it on a regular basis / at all? It just adds more complications, more battery consumption and features you don't really need. Keep it simple. OPs post is a great deal.

  • Is it water proof?

    • +1

      I do not think so

    • +1

      Yes it is waterproof

      • Thanks. Then bought 😊

  • And here I was thinking it was one device with two handles like a bike.

  • Good price for two basic handles, I recommend jumping up to the smart range though, the bluetooth thing may seem gimicky but it's honestly so nice to see your brush times and create routines to check off as you clean

  • My Coles doesn't have it and can't get it because it is being recalled?!!

    • This gift set is from 2021 and is now a deleted line. Definitely not recalled.

      • I believe you.
The guy I dealt with didn't know and didn't seem to care.

  • Anyone know if this is 2 single base? Or 1 base with 2 holder/charger?

Amazing deal, bought 2 individual ones for $69 each not too long ago.

    • Even at $144.50, it's OOS at all the Chemist Warehouse stores near me in VIC
The Single handle Pro 2 2000 was on special for $49 at Shavers Shop last year

    • +1

If you zoom in the photo it says 2 handles, one black head, one white head, one charger. It does worry me there's only one charger but I'm sure we could find something if it died.

I've ordered - wish me luck they have stock!

      • Coles just cancelled it, no stock :(

  • Thanks OP. Bought for tomorrow delivery. Hopefully they have the stock.

  • +1

    They canceled my order 😓

    • Is that a click n collect order or delivery?

      • Click and collect

        • Mine got cancelled too. It's supposed to be delivered today!

  • +1

    Order got cancelled too

  • +1

Yep mine too with no reason given. Very poor.

  • +1

Just picked up mine from Coles East Village.
Hopefully they still have stock if any of you are planning to buy from there

    • +1

      Thanks! Worked for me. C&C

  • I ordered from a different Coles, and received cancellation. And that's after taking forever to sign up and pay because Paypal linking wouldn't work.

    • PayPal link didn't work for me either.

  • Yep my first order was cancelled. Placed another one, same thing.

Terrible technology from such a large company.

    • +1

Indeed. It's 2023. You can't even use Coles gift cards to pay for orders via Coles online or app. Very lame. They're still in stone age.

      • First time I've tried buying something from them. Will be the last.

  • I just went to both my locals and they were OOS.

Tried C&C online but the “place order” button was greyed out despite all being filled out properly. Their website is sooooo poorly designed. I’m glad I’m a Woolies regular.

They do have the 2 for $112 deal. Wish I knew this two weeks ago as I got the one for $65 but my 5YO daughter wants a “pink” toothbrush #facepalm

  • I ordered 2 days ago and instead of click and collect, I selected delivery 3/1/2023 for $2. I just got confirmation today that it is arriving, fingers crossed it will really get delivered and not cancelled like a lot of you.

    • +1

I can confirm that the item got delivered just now. I've just checked and it is still on special, so, if you want it, I suggest you spend the extra $2 for delivery and $0.15 for the bag. Saves you hunting around to see which store has it and wasting petrol/time driving to pick it up.

      • Damn, did the same last nght, online delivery - just got email - not in stock
        Now the refund wait

        • Bummer, looks like I got lucky then.
