Recently made the switch to Cature green tea tofu litter thanks to the recommendation of my sister in law. While surfing the net for the cheapest price to buy in bulk I found that Petso currently have this spend $X get $X off deal going on. At its highest tier it’s effectively 20% off.

I used this to buy the Petkit pura max (RRP $789, currently on sale for $749, after using the deal it was basically $599) and then added enough litter to take my total bill to $2000 to get $400 off. Pretty good deal if you ask me! I’m even considering purchasing more litter as I know I’ll go through it anyway and because the 7.2kg packs of Cature tofu litter are currently on sale for $32.95 (RRP $39.95, after the deal it’s $26.36). Even just writing this out has really made me realize I should definitely buy more.

    There's nothing weird about buying 38 packs of kitty litter, then realising that's not enough and you're going to buy another 30+ packs.

      With the number of cats I have I go through minimum 1 pack a week so this would just last 38 weeks max (maybe even less). Considering cat ownership is a lifelong (their life) commitment I will easily go through a lot more than this. I think my biggest fear is when this bulk purchase runs out idk what prices would be then due to no discounts or maybe even inflation.

        I have 3 indoor cats at home. There is no way I get through even a half of a bag of kitty litter per week (Anko Cat Litter Crystal 3.2kg @ $9). You are doing something wrong, or the product you buy doesn't clamp up.

        Edit: you go through 1 bag a week of extremely expensive 7.6kg bags of litter??? That's a lot

          @cute as duck: I must admit I did not explore options beyond tofu litter. We’ve always used breeders choice for the past 3.5 years since rescuing our cats and I was always skeptical of how small bags of clumping litter were that I never wanted to explore it. However since my sister in law recently recommended us this brand it was a big game changer for us. When compared to other brands of Tofu litter, Cature seemed quite reasonable at RRP.

          I am probably doing something wrong, currently sift through the litter 2-3 times per day only taking the clumps (clumps well imo). But, this is probably where I go wrong, I do a full litter change every 2-3 days. This habit is from the non clumping litter and I could probably do without the full litter changes. How often do you do your full litter change?

    None at all. Just someone who houses 5 rescue cats and thought this would be a great deal for any multi cat household.

    I don’t need it haha. But as I mentioned, I’m certain I’m gonna get through it all regardless of time frame so I might as well buy when it’s at a decent price right? Or am I just a crazy cat person at this point?
