50% off Variety of Daley Street Coffee Beans 1kg $17.50 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Coles

70

I've been meaning to post this deal but kept forgetting, new line product at Coles. Came handy when I ran out of fresh beans. These were all roasted last month and the taste was comparable to the ones I purchase from OZB Roasters. Very much worth it at this price, catalogue ends tonight. I believe this special is state wide.

Roast date has to be mentioned, if it's a few months old it's not worth $1 p/kg.

Not saying these will be old roasts, just mentioning that buying beans between 2 to 4 weeks from roast is where they have to be or they're worthless, especially if it takes you a few weeks to get through a kilo.

    • They do mention the roast date on them. Usually ~2 weeks old from the bags I've picked up

      • That's perfect, will check them out.

These are very good when you get a fresh roast bag

    • What's the chances of that?
      Are they usually fresh?

I ask because Coles is much more convenient than any other supplier for me.

      • Most of the ones I saw in the store were 2-3 months old. Some of them had been roasted in August.

Thanks, I'll have to check them out myself, another comment said usually 2 weeks, but 2-3 months is useless.

I'll report back if anyone cares.

@[Deactivated]: Caught me in coles. Just checked roast date and looks like its 19/09/22 was the batch they had at my local Coles.

        • It depends I’ve seen some <2 weeks some many months. Coles started stock 5senses and some were fresh enough same with this Daley st. But I though coffee was pretty meh.

Totally depends on your store. I only buy them if they are half price and less than 2 weeks from roast.

        • I purchased a 250g to your me over the Christmas break while waiting for a freshly roasted brand being delivered… Surprised I was able to pick them up for $4 and roasted 8 days prior.

It taste really decent and I think it rivals the much loved Aldi beans

  • did coles recently re do their website, just wanted to see if the local had stock…now im signed up but can't check out :joy:

  • YMMV, but these were pretty gross when we had them.

    • Preston has Mocopan doesn't it?
Mocopan Pasquale is very nice coffee.

I've tried the pods and rate them over some of the bigger brands.

  • been using these to make cold brew. quite happy witht hem when half priced.

  • Surprisingly the pods version taste good as well, on par with Lor and StarBucks for aftermarket brands. Picked up lots when on special.
