Good Sydney Buffets (with Vegetarian/Vegan Options)

Looking for some suggestions and wanting to know if any of you can share your favourite and reasonably priced spots, especially if you've been recently.

I guess there's heaps of small restaurants in suburbs offering buffets, but I don't know if the food is fresh, hygienic etc.

Looking for options where there's reasonable vego options to make it worthwhile (so trying to avoid the seafood buffets, bbq buffets and similar).

Quality/Freshness of the food, location and atmosphere also matters. Breakfast or Lunch is preferred.

  • I think most places haven’t decided to return back to buffets following Covid.

You may want to try calling some of the Indian veg-only ones like Govindas and Savariya to see if they still do buffets nowadays. Om Vegetarian still does in Melbourne so they might too.

Else there’s always the usuals like Star Buffet and endless Korean BBQs which I presume you’re already aware and doesn’t satisfy your veg requirement.

Absolutely they've got a whole smorgasbord full of them.

  • You can read reviews of them in Google.

  • I was at Epicurean in September.

If you ignore all the Asians relentlessly attacking the seafood table and the sushi bar, then whatever is left should satisfy you. Although getting a table there is not reasonably priced.

    • Downvoters, if you want a table there, just book a month or so in advance.

      • I think it was your use of the not to be used 'A' word that may have triggered some peeps.

          Key word - ‘triggered’

        • Its literally 80% Asian clientele there on any given day!

They devour all the dead sea creatures as soon as the trays come out. I literally had the Western food stations to myself when I was there.
