Security Camera System Help

Hi, I'm looking at buying and installing this Hikvision wired system with 6 cameras https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/403919963319?var=673801798384
The only part I'm not sure about is the screen to monitor inside the house.
I recently bought a 43" QLED TV for a family member who has a similar system, and it looks crisp and great.

My problem is that I can only mount the TV vertically because of limited wall space between windows.
I have looked all over the place and can't see anything on if this is possible.
I can't see any setting etc to rotate the screen 90 degrees.

Would love some feedback if anyone has done this or can suggest something.

Why would you want such massive screen for monitoring in the first place? Are you running a weed farm that needs constant supervision of sort? It will be a power sucker for such purpose unless you need to be viewing the live feeds all the time. Just get a standard 24 in for the purpose and if needed any further trace back you can always use other screen to review the footage if needed.

  • LOL, no weed farm.
Do you know if it is possible to run a screen vertically, I know I can install it, but it is a question of how to rotate the images?

    • Are you gonna look at it 24/7? Lol
Well you need a NVR, which can arrange images usually.

      • No, just when I'm home. I am getting the Hikvision 4K NVR DS-7608NI-I2/8P but it doesn't seem to have the ability to change the rotation.

  • I have almost the same size Hikvision system (7) I have those cameras and the NVR is about the same

You canot get the NVR to show vertically

You cant even change the orientation of the Hikvision app without going into the settings and choosing tablet mode but that wold not help you on a TV

Personally i think 43cm is a good size to monitor multiple cameras but you are going to have to find another way of mounting.. sorry

    • 43cm is a lot smaller than 43"

      • HAHA I meant 43 inches. I do not have a seperate monitor but use the app and sometines have my 75 inch monitering!

One more thing, 8 cameras at 4k hooked up to an 8 camera nvr could possibly cause lag, shadowing or jittering if all the NVR's capacity to process is used. I would strongly suggest a larger NVR capacity for the amount of cameras you are going to use to give it a bit more bandwith total capacity when running all cameras. If you use 8, get an NVR with a capacity for 10-12
