Headwolf Fpad 2 8" Tablet Shockproof Case

Hi All,

Did anyone buy the tablet from this deal? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/746902 - I bought it but realized I also want a shockproof case for it. I'm looking for a shockproof rugged case with a built-in screen protector but can't find anything on ebay/amazon/Aliexpress/Banggood etc.

The only case I can find is this - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005050961637.html but I want a case that would offer more protection. Is there any custom case manufacturer in Australia that potentially could make these? I'd probably be willing to pay no more than $70

Otherwise, I'll just gift this tablet for a birthday present and get the Samsung A7 Tab Lite instead and then add on $20 for the shockproof case available from amazon.

TIA

If it's not a Samsung, Lenovo or Apple, then you're not going to find many options.

Your best bet is to try to hack a close equivalent case to suit.
Look up the dimensions of your tablet and try to find a Samsung, Lenovo or Apple model that has similar dimensions and buy a case for that model.

    • It looks like I will gift this

On the topic of 8" tablets I've been waiting for the rugged 8" Oukitel RT3 Mini to go on sale again. Its CPU is inferior in single core performance and gaming than the Headwolf unfortunately, however the IP68 rugged design is certainly a big pro.

    • When did that ever go on sale? I don't see any posts

      • Was on sale before Christmas. I didn't share it as I didn't know about it until recently.

        • Does Oukitel offer OS updates/Security Patches?

          • @BLAIL: No. You're not going to get that outside of the big brands.

            • @Clear: Questionable support even on the Big brands (excluding Apple), especially for their low end models.

              • @ESEMCE: hmmm which area would be most compatible with australia - probably ain't gonna be russia or europe area…there's Brazil and "South North America"

@BLAIL: I'd probably go with America just cause it means keyboard layout is likely to be US and therefore $ symbol will be available.

Otherwise it's not really going to matter

        • Is $146 USD on sale or has it been lower than this?

          • @BLAIL: About $155 Inc GST. Sadly JAN14 is used up as that would take $14 off.
