Also if you have access, $49 at TGG Commercial.

It's a good price, but this might be on sale because the new Belkin BoostCharge PRO came out recently which can charge up to 15W whereas this one only does up to 10W and unlike the PRO is not technically a magsafe charger.

    • It seems the Belkin BoostCharge PRO is for using on a table/desk at home/office, rather than in the car, whereas this one is specifically for the car.

  • Are there any off AliExpress that that anyone can recommend that are good (but cheap)?

      Baseus

      • Can confirm, bought the Baseus one last year and it has been working flawlessly. You’ll need to buy a separate car adapter unless if your car has a usb-c port.

        • Awesome. Can you please share the model number you bought? Thanks 😊

@eyepeefreely: Sorry, can’t link it for some reason, but I actually got a choetech one. Just google Choetech MagSafe 15W car mount charger, they are around $30.

      • Thanks mate. Any particular model you suggest?

  • Does not work with non-Iphones right?

    • Short answer: no.

Long answer: yes, if done correctly.

Wireless charging is via the Qi protocol, which is used by almost everyone for wireless charging. So it is capable of charging almost any phone with wireless charging.

The magnetic part is designed to work with Apple's MagSafe arrangement, which is just a ring of magentic material in a specific geometry built into the back of the phone. MagSafe-compatible charging devices have magnets arranged in a matching configuration, so that the phone and charger are pulled together and aligned correctly when placed together.

Magsafe compatibility can be retro-fitted to non-Apple phones using aftermarket accessories - either a MagSafe-style case (eg. Maus), or a ring of magnetic material fixed to the back of your phone in the appropriate place. It does need to be carefully aligned with the wireless charging coil of your phone or it won't work.

      • Thanks heaps for you response. Too much of a hassle, will stick to the spigen ones and just charge by cable.

Dont buy these, magnet is not going to hold. When the car bump it will came flying off. It will loose magnetism in heat. Waste of money.

    • What he said, even worst if you got a thick case
Same with all the aliexpress brands too
Just get the anti gravity mounts best ones

  • What would be the best magnetic one for Samsung S22 Ultra that doesn't charge.
I've got a charging pad in my car already so can always charge there when needed, but need a magnetic phone holder only to put the phone there when not charging, preferably while a thin card case (only the back like the Spigen Armor CS) is still on it.
