Samsung S3 VF or buy outright

Hey guys need some help deciding for the samsung s3 32gb..

  1. Vodafone, 49+35 p/m, for 12 months

I can use the buckscoop for 100 dollars and save10 coupon and it should fall to 848 AUD after all the discounts and get 49 dollar cap every month. But I am not so sure whether or not buckscoop is a good idea, I have read some people say that buckscoop is a russian roulette and its pretty random and it is not a good idea to decide on a deal based on buckscoop.

And lastly.. anyone got any idea when does Vodafone normally update their monthly pricing? It has been 49+35 since the launch date..

  1. Buying it outright.

http://bonzerdeals.com.au/deals/32GBs3 for 679 AUD shipped

and if I use it with TPG 15 dollars per month, for 12 months it would be 859 AUD total. Problem is I have never used bonzerdeals before.

So what do you guys think? Should I wait for the price to drop for vodafone? or to get it outright? And how is anyone's experience with the buckscoop, do we get the 100 dollars everytime or randomly?

Thanks!

  • any help pls guys :)

  • You did not specify colour or size. some places charge more for the pebble blue colour and 32Gb is obviously going to be more expensive than the 16Gb.

    16Gb white.
    $579 + postage - http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/samsung-galaxy-s3-16gb-white/
There are cheaper ones out there if you look a bit harder.

I personally would wait till the plans gets updated. Optus has an offer for $60 monthly plan + $5 handset repayments for 24 months earning 6 Qantas frequent flyer points per $ is valid until 31/7. That makes me think that after that, it will revert back to 1 point per $ and followed by new plans to be available not long after. All based on assumptions so you will have to make up your own mind on that. Unless of course someone here knows otherwise.

    • i am actually interested in the blue and the 32gb.

thanks for the reply, guess i will hang out for another month to see how the prices go.. any experiences with the buckscoop scheme? or should i think about it as a bingo kind of thing.

  • i did see someone mention you can get a plan with telstra and then cancel to just pay for the phone which is like $500+, would work if you just want the phone cheaper!

not sure if it'll work as i dont usually get telstra but could be worth more research.
