Buy GoPro HERO11 on Their Official Online or Physical Store for better value??

I am interested in getting one as I was just looking at it yesterday

However, I am confused
It seems like the average in physical store e.g. JB, Myer, Bing Lee etc are 719 to 800 average i.e.
https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/gopro-hero11-black-5-3k-h…

However, when I go to the online store, it cost $600 for the item itself OR the bundle for $630. If so, I would be very interested in the bundle!

I am aware that it requires 1 year subscription

However, when I went to checkout for the bundle, surprisingly the total is $629.95
The breakdown is $559.96 and $69.99 which is $629.95 in total (please click the screenshot below that I have attached below)

https://ibb.co/DLySD11

I was expecting an additional $70 i.e. $700 in total

It doesn't make sense to be as it seems to be more cheaper than the physical store as JB is currently on sale for $719 just for the product itself (no subscription), or am I missing something?

Furthermore, I heard somewhere that there is a trick to cancel the subscription too?

Your feedback would be appreciated as the special additional $30 discount for JB ends tomorrow!

  • +1

I bought a GoPro 10 off their official website around August last year. It was the cheapest option by far.

I paid via PayPal and cancelled the subscription (in the GoPro website itself) and also cancelled GoPro being an automatic subscription on PayPal. That way all I got charged for was the GoPro itself.

I got the GoPro, an SD card, a bag and another bag for like $560. Was a bargain.

They send it very quick as well, from the US.

Just keep in mind that the subscription can be pretty valuable though. If something goes wrong with your GoPro, they'll replace it, no questions asked. However without the subscription you may not have as much luck in getting a replacement. Something to keep in mind.

  • The GoPro website has the base model for $599 and the accessory pack bundle for $629 (if you opt for the 1-year GoPro Subscription option): https://gopro.com/en/au/shop/cameras/hero11-black/CHDHX-111-…

Which includes GST and delivery. I have read that you can potentially cancel the subscription and receive a refund for that also (but cannot confirm).

They had a 15% off around Christmas time, which brought the accessory pack bundle down to around $613 which is the lowest I have seen for a while.

  • I managed to buy it and the Paypal trick does work
So for those who don't wanna pay the subscription, you will even get it cheaper
As for the subscription, it is actually NOT free at all, you need to pay the fee which I read somewhere as well as on Youtube, unless I am wrong about that
And overall, this is def. cheaper than JB!
I usually go for JB but this is one exception, hard to beat that for sure!
    Thanks again guys!

  • I got mine a couple months ago, did the paypal trick then realised the subscription was actually handy. Unlimited cloud storage and edits my footage into Highlight clips automatically. Lifetime replacement no questions asked. So I decided to reactivate it .

    • I did the Paypal trick and cancelled straight away right after I purchased it

However, when i went to the app, and cancel it again, it has like 3 steps, up to the last step, it went like "dont go, you can get 50% off if you decided to stay" etc i.e. $35 instead of $70

Just though to let you know if in case you wanna renew next time/year and this thing might pop up again!

Doesn't hurt anyways since you can always reactivate it back

Also the lifetime replacement, is actually not free apparently, you have to pay like 100 or 150 bucks as there is condition apply according to some guys and Youtubers, however, I could be wrong
