      No you

    • Is that you George

    • +9

It tastes legit like actual coconut water. Its the closest pre-packed product I've tried that even comes close. Great if it's been super chilled.

Thanks OP, I bought a bunch!

    • +2

Maybe you just hate coconut water? I've tried all the brands and this one is probably the best.

    • +3

This taste as close to the fresh coconut water I had growing up in Asia. Other brands had weird tastes.

  • -7

Only drink i have is energy drink.

    • +3

      You dont drink water ?

      • +1

I suppose manufacturers have advertised tap water as energy drinks too

      • -5

        I don’t write obvious stuff.

  • +3

Not as good as previously, it was like $13.5 with s&s

  • -7

…Plain water is just as – if not more -effective for hydration purposes…

  • +2

isnt it around 2.00-2.50 each when on special..

    • yeah coles had this last week for $2.50

  • +1

FYI The Aldi stuff is just as good.

    • What's the name/brand that ALDI stocks and how much is it?

      • -1

        Cocobella. About $2.99 a bottle.

        • +2

this deal is for cocobella and less than $3/bottle?

          • +4

@philldo: Sorry it’s ‘cocolicious’ typical Aldi almost but not quite the same packaging. It’s good though, we actually prefer it.

        • That doesn't sound better than $2.40 ??

          • -1

@G-rig: You’re right. But it’s available any time for 50c more and we prefer it.

            • +1

@eyepeefreely: That's handy and don't need to buy in bulk.
Easier just going to Aldi for most stuff and I prefer it.

Coconut water is known as the 'Magic Drink' or 'Nature's Drink' due to its countless health benefits. However, a few disadvantages of coconut water might make you reconsider consuming it. Overconsumption of coconut water may lower your blood pressure, cause an electrolyte imbalance, or act as a laxative.

    • +12

I feel like overconsumption of any drink could make you run into some of these symptoms, even plain water.

    • +1

If I have high blood pressure, will this even me out?

    • +5

Clicking through to the actual studies cited you find that the study lasted 4 days, had 8 participants, required they consume 2 liters of coconut water in a day, and the study only checked for the presence of "urinary potassium, chloride, and citrate in nonstone forming individuals".

    • Yes but if you are on high blood pressure you might as well take it

    • +1

It doesn’t have a single Health benefit over normal water

    • Over consumption of almost anything will generally result in negative side effects. Moderation is key.

    • Define over consumption..
1L per day, 6L per day?
Pretty sure it's not that cheap people will be hammering it too hard.

It's fine, hydrating and I like the taste. Still can't beat water anyway which everyone should be drinking.

  • No thanks, I'll stick to my coconut flavoured $20 PRIME energy drink.

    • Is that how you rinse down your chicken dinner?

  • +3

Woolies has 4 for $10 as standard

  • +1

Coles jack the price to $2.65 each half price so Amazon follows it

    • And then they go always a little bit down after jacking and say proudly low price locked in… what a joke!

    • And Woolworths has jacked up the price also, it used to be $2.50 at half price and now $2.75 is half price.

  • -2

If you want it to go back down in price, ignore this price 👍

    Nobody needs coconut water

  • +1

    I have 2 questions:
    - do they expire? How long unopened can I keep them for?
    - how do they taste? I find some brands smell and taste a bit off

    • IMO tastes just like drinking a fresh coconut from SE Asian countries. Very good.

Lasts over 6 months, can't remember exactly but it's about a year on the box I think but it never survives that long in my house.

    • +1

This brand smell and taste just fine, it's been my main hydration source. I grew up in SE Asia of course nothing beats the taste of fresh coconut juice, but this is as good as you can get to the real thing.

  • Highly recommend watermelon flavor. On promotion regularly as well. Current pruce is not good though.

  • This is on special for $2.50 every 3-4 weeks at colesworth

    • +3

$2.75 is the jacked up new half price at Woolies.

  • +1

    This or pocari sweat?

  • Bloody inflation, extra 20c per L for s&s.
    Luxury item anyway I guess.

  • +3

This is my magical hangover cure. Sink one before you sleep and you will be right as rain (will depend on alcoholic quantity consumed).

Personally this tastes much cleaner than the generic brands and worth the cost.

…that or go harvest your own coconuts (which is also hit and miss)
