Any Recommendations for Camper Trailer around $25K?

Hello all, I am looking to purchase a camper trailer for around $25K.

There are soooo many out there, I was wondering if someone has some experience with any and any recommendations.
I was looking at the cheaper black series a few years ago, but it seems they no longer sell them in Australia.
I need to sleep 2 adults and 2 kids, with a hard floor foldout/slideout setup. With some seating area, and outside kitchen.

So far, I have found the:

MDC CRUIZER SLIDE which seems okay and decent price. but it is ex-demo stock.
Prime Campers PV-5 looks great but is a bit more expensive than what I wanted to pay.

A lot of camper trailers are made in China and have quality issues.

  • Have you looked at the second-hand market?

Would be looking at second hand rather than new. Jayco Swan & Eagles are at about the right price point, can pick them up with AC/heater (or portable), hot water, indoor kitchen & pantry + 4-6 beds.

The ouitback models are supposedly more offroad but don't know how they'd fare.

  • Do you want real off road ability? Free camping? Just for caravan parks? Travelling trips or just drive a few hours and stop me stay for a week? Doing the big lap? What are you towing with? Quick to setup or more features? Hard roof or happy with canvas?

There’s so many variations of what’s available it’s hard to make a recommendation without some further info.

I’d say best bet is to go to a caravan camping or 4wd show and sticky beak in a few different designs to get an idea then build on that.

FWIW we graduated from tents to a soft floor camper trailer and got jack of the setup and pack up and bought and expander type van. Friends who bought wind up campers (jayco swan etc) have since upgraded to caravans due to setup times.

  • Not sure if you are still looking, recently purchased a Dec 2020 MDC Robson XTT dual fold (2021 spec Timber free model) and its fantastic. Paid $26k for it and it was immaculate.

Full log books and serviced, it was like new. Has Queen and double bed, table can fold down to convert lounge to a king. Diesel heater, external kitchen. 200ah batteries, solar panel, gas hot water system plumbed to shower and kitchenette, 120 and 80L water tank, full annexe. Only real difference to a new one is that the new ones have lithium batteries and a few extras.
