Question about Accounts and Games across Two Nintendo Switches

Hi all,

My partner and I currently have a Nintendo Switch and we both have Switch online subscriptions, but all of our digital games have been purchased through my account.

We'll be going away soon and I was thinking of borrowing a family members Switch so we can both be playing while we're away.

My question is can I add my profile to the other Switch without it causing any issues to existing profiles? and will I be able to download my games and save games to that Switch and play it at the same time as my partner is playing games on our original switch?

She is mostly playing Disney Dreamlight at the moment which was purchased through my account, but she plays it on her profile. Would I be able to play for example Hades or Inscryption on the other switch at the same time as her even though they were also purchased digitally through the same account?

    If you are playing different games it's all good. If you want to play the same games together it would be a bit trickier, especially as you're borrowing the other switch. Whoever is playing on the borrowed Switch would need to be online to play.

        Do people actually go on holidays with their partners to play handheld games in a different location?

      Yeah we're going to be spending a while at the airport and on planes so god forbid we might want to both play switch at the same time.

      Thanks for your contribution though, let me know what you like to do on your holidays and I'll be sure to give you my opinions on your choices :)

        I just had this vision of a couple walking down an amazing white sand beach with crystal turquoise water playing their switch instead of holding hands and absorbing the moment.

        Oh yeah, and my holidays typically involve a wakeboat, skis etc, awesome river scenery, heaps of food and drink. Too busy having a good time and bantering to worry about electronics. Fire away.
