Best accessories for Steam Deck?

Given the massive interest in Steam Decks here - What does the community think are the best accessories? I've upgraded my 64gb to 1tb.

This thread reminded me to conduct my occasional "is steam deck available in australia?" Google search.

It came up with this surprisingly. Seems you can now buy it in Aus, but retailers are just importing the international version still lol.

Pls gaben, forgive us for our sins (L4D 2 censorship), we know you think Australia is some regressive backwater hole that is undeserving of Valve hardware.

The Steam Deck subreddit has quite a few of these posts, lots of discussion and a lot more Steam Deck owners

  • Anyone got reco's for sd card, dock and case? Sd card and case is relatively easy, but I see not many options for verified good quality docks that dont cost $75+

SD: stick with reputable flash manufactueres: SanDisk, Samsung. Use a reputable seller (probably not eBay). Make sure you get the right category of card.

Looks like the deck supports UHS-I, so (if true) anything faster than that is (probably) a waste.

UHS-I is signified by the I symbol (see item 2 on the diagram here)

      • Thanks mate yeah I’d probably just get it from amazon or umart

        • I grabbed : Sandisk Extreme Pro 1TB for SD card. Samsung Pro Plus is also recommended.
Case and dock : almost any one will do. There's a preroder for a JSAUX case that's got a front cover currently, along with attachments such as fans, hubs, ssd enclosure.

  • How about.a Powerbank recommendation? I’ve got the baseus 65w one.

  • Is this a yet an another grown up toy/handheld device, you buy then jazz up with accessories then let it collect dust after few months?
