iPhone14/PRO Current DEAL with Vodafone

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Need suggestions

Tempted to buy a iphone after almost 9-10 years. I was exploring deals associated with iphone with the current providers and found this deal.
My out of pocket expenses will be 24x69(Plan) +750 (phone price)= 2406 and locked with Vodafone for 24 months

Wondering, is this the best deal available in the current market, if I choose to buy an iPhone 14 pro (128 GB) outright?

You put it in the deals…..

  • I actually think this might be one of the worst written deals I've seen in a while.

Deal and telco doesn't belong in a same sentence.

  • Go buy discount apple guft card will be cheaper

    • Where to buy?

      • This week at Coles and tomorrow from Woolworths you will earn flybuys or everyday rewards points that equal to 10% discount.

        • Added to my knowledge, thanks.

      I think it was called a Galaxy S4. ;)

  • You sure its $750 phone price from vodafone? On the website it says the device repayment plan which is $72.87pm. I also can't find the $69 plan.

There aren’t many good deals on iPhone 14 because of demand/supply. I considered the $1,000 off offer from Vodafone but if you calculate it through, not a massive deal when it’s $69 per month plan. Especially if you consider an outright purchase and much cheaper sim-only instead. Turns out almost same really.

Also really don’t recommend the 128 GB version. It will fill up quick with media and photos and videos and games and apps and you’ll regret it. Unless you’re committed to offloading content to an iCloud subscription

This $1000 off promo is a lifesaver for those of us who's employer pays "usage" but not for the device ;)
But yeah, if you compare it to outright+sim-only and you aren't a super heavy data user, its not really a deal.
They ran it on the iPhone 13 launch too

      • That’s actually a really good point! I should check my employment contract for such provision. I’m sure there’s something there about mobile phones but haven’t availed of it. Thanks.

So for the Apple Plan for a iPhone 14 Pro 128GB:

    Cost - $69x24months + $749 Upfront
    Total Cost - (1656) + 749 = 2405

    To work out cost of plan - 2405 - 1749 = 656
    Then 656/24 = 26.35/month for 150gb

So I short you only pay $26.35/month for the plan on top of the cost for the phone including the upfront payment. Of course you have to lock-in and it you break the contract the $1000 off and the $69 as a pro rata exit fee.

    • I would buy the iphone 14 pro ouright and go on a woolies sim only plan and you can choose between $35 for 42gb or $45 for 90gb which will get you better reception and faster download speeds. which is nearly the same cost.

      • Yeah, you could do that… but this deal isn't bad if you are a super heavy data user. Also potentially has benefits if you are pairing an apple watch (I think)

$1000 off will be equal to a saving of about $40/month towards plan cost, which will be about $30/month for 150GB, which is not bad.

Tempted to buy a iphone after almost 9-10 years.

Since you've waited this long, I'd wait another 6 years and just get the iphone 20.
It will come with 8 lenses.
