    • Wtf??

I haven't used the app but it certainly isn't 'required' to control them.

Soundpeats are top of the list for ozbargains what should I buy budget earphones. I'm sure this wouldn't be the case if they required an app that was spyware to use them.

    • +3

      That’s total bullshit

      • I suspect it is.

      • +1

Don't you hold back now XD

    • +2

That's a bold claim. Any facts to back it up?

I just d/l, registered & logged into the app. And all it requires is location & nearby devices, same as my Bose app.

      • +4

Haha I just did the same thing to see what the deal was , and no request to have access to your emails at all.

    • It does not require access to emails, only location. I would certainly prefer the app would function without requiring Location permission - hard to see how it's justified.

I'm proud of OzBargain this morning.

Truly surprised an inflammatory post like this hasn't been negged into oblivion.

You have been given the benefit of the doubt, RedHab - can you provide any proof of your claim?

Because Trump & Jair Bolsonaro said so. That's enough!
PS. If it's Chinese origin, I MUST BE BAD! including most of his household items.

Is there noticeable difference between the "Air3" and "Air3 Deluxe"?

From what I can see - bigger battery charging case on the Deluxe (300mAH vs 220mAH; same battery on the actual earbuds) however it's rated IPX4 on the Deluxe while on the non-Deluxe version it's IPX5

Core specs look identical and the weights slightly more on Deluxe to account for bigger battery I guess.

I think thats about right, they are almost the same but with a bigger battery charger in the case.
There is a high res version available for $55.24 as well.

      • Legend! i was just about to pick up the Air3 deluxe when I saw your post.

I'm wondering if the LDAC support is just a firmware/software upgrade or a certification on the Delume HS.

    • I saw some video reviews the other day and yea it's just the deluxe case holds more battery. The actual earbuds are identical, you can interchange them between a standard and deluxe case and it'd be all the same

  • +1

I have both and the Air3 Deluxe sounds better and louder. I think the Deluxe has a bigger driver.

  • Does it allow you to use only one earbud when needed?

    • +1

I don't think so, they have some sort of optical sensor in them so when you pull one out of your ear it pauses your music then resumes when you put it back in. So I dont know if it would work if you only had one in, however, if one is left in the case it could work.

    • +1

I just tested, when you are playing music it will stop when you take a bud out, but then I just press play again and listen through the one ear (music starts playing in both again). When you are in the middle of a call though, you can take anything out and nothing is disrupted.

Or, I can also only take one bud out of the case, and it works as normal.

      • What's the battery time on full volume ?

  • I have had 2 soundpeats, one is a old shitty one I threw away, the other was SoundPEATS Truengine 3 SE which I bought in Aug 2020 and one of the earbuds recently died. I managed to get a refund from Amazon (shoutout to Mohit).

I just need something to use when I'm gardening and doing hard yakka shit. Has Soundpeats' QC improve in the last couple years? I don't mind buying these because the Amazon refund process is easy af

Hate the way they are stored in the case. I have Air3 and taking them out and putting them back is my least fav thing about them.

  • I ordered yesterday SoundPEATS Air3 Pro Hybrid for $63.99. Not sure if I need to stick with my order or cancel or order this one.

    • +1

They are a completey different earphone. I have the hybrid pro's and prefer them as they seal out external noise being a silicon tip. They also stay in my ears better than my wife's deluxes but they feel less heavy and move comfortable as they don't go into your ear as far.

  • Can someone help me are these worth paying double for over these QCY T20 Wireless Earbuds Bluetooth 5.3 for $25 . Price doesn't matter if they are twice as good

    • Where can you get this for $25?

      • it was from a post last week , Amazon , I bought them, pretty happy for the price

        • Ah i missed it, its 39.99 already

  • Basic comparison here - https://www.scarbir.com/tws/qcy-t20-ailypods-review

QCY T20 VS SOUNDPEATS AIR 3

The SoundPEATS Air3 has an easier fit than the QCY T20, and its touch panels respond better as well. Contrary the name, the QCY has a more airy sound. It leaves more space between vocals and instruments. The T20 also has more upper-mids clarity and extends highs further. That not to say the Air3 doesn't have air - but it's more focused on the lower end of the sound. Even when you get the ideal fit on the QCY, the SoundPEATS has a stronger, more prominent mid-bass and further boosted lower-mids. Male vocals are a bit weightier because of this, while higher (female) vocals can be more powerful on the QCY.

Feature-wise, the QCY wins on battery life, offers clearer phone calls, and has even better latency in games - although the SoundPEATS has a less flat, more immersive gaming sound. The Air3 also controls better.
