Got a camel price drop notification for this well regarded butane stove. Was floating around the $180 mark.

15,000 BTU with a "built in windbreaker".

This is probably excessive for most people but if you need to do some wok cooking, kbbq or hot pot, it's a great option.

Surprised the companies that make the cheapies dont manufacture something with a higher BTU. Seems like a missed opportunity as many users want a stronger flame and you can always tone it down to match the cooking requirements.

    • one i linked above is almost 20k BTU, probably good enough for a portable. hoping it doesn't warp too many of my flat pans haha

      • The one you links to a propane bottle, anything that uses a standard camping gas aluminum can?

fairly sure it comes with a converting adapter which allows it to be fit into the butane cans, see the amazon comments, there's a butane gas can.

          • @diazepam: wait for your review, good to have a backup portable one.

  • Gone :(

  • This is much cheaper than the 50 gold for the magic powered one!

  • Anyone not using it and keen to sell?
