Distributing Qantas Frequent Flyer Points Gained from Company Spending

Hi guys,

so we are in the process of getting a company credit card for qantas points and just wondering is the proper way or best way to set up is to get a business qantas frequent flyer account and all the points earned goes in there, then just distribute/transfer the points out to the partners personal account? or is there any other way people do it?

and on top of this, does points earned through the company credit card need to be declared somehow as income? I don't know how this would be calculated, but just thinking along line of fringe benefit tax. Sorry it might be completely not related, but just want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly thanks

  • Global QBR account(few cc sign up offers atm also)- easy unrestricted transfer out and the opportunity to double dip on points for flight bookings. There was also an offer of bonus points for linking staff to QBR account.

  • From memory the only issues with frequent flyer points is FBT. Only kicks in after 250k points.
