  • how does this compare to Sonos

    • doesn't have DTS, not sure on the sonos but worth keeping in mind.

i've been trying to research, but seems much of a muchness if your not an audiphile for sure… So I guess it depends on what U.I. you like more?
Looked at the Sonos Arc and both sounds nice to me :P

If Music is any priority, I've leaned towards Bose Soundbars.

Though Soundbars are a compromise for it anyway….

Regardless, you'll want (need) the matching sub too.

    • Nothing compares to a Sonos.

Except the q990b, that every review pitches it as every bit as good, for half the price of a comparable set up (+sub and rears)

        • Do you have the q990b? I can't compare, so I guess my comment may be an uneducated guess. I have the whole surround sound system for Sonos, and it sounds epic.

          • @thousandsuns: I'm sure it does. I wasnt bringing the sonos so much as mentioning the q990b hits well above its weight and is competing with the likes of the sonos. In the US they are much more comparable in price, here its almost half.

Gone back up. Though they were matching JB price today.

I'm pretty happy with my Soundbar 900. Key thing is it was slim enough to fit on my TV stand. Bit tempermental with the ARC and my Samsung TV though when I first got it and was setting it up, but once it worked, I didn't play with settings again and it stayed solid.

    Need the base module though.

    • Honestly it actually sounds pretty good without the bass module particularly if you aren't looking for huge thump and just want a pleasant music experience for background noise in your home. I bought the bass module 700 and yes it does sound good with explosions/loud music, for most of our use case (namely background music and some Cocomelon), it sounds great and is enjoyable enough. The soundbar alone has some bass ports (yes I know it's not a subwoofer) which did impress me given the size.
