      Are you biased Muzeeb?

    • Is this the real muzeeb from that one dell incident?

      • Yes. Yes it is.

Got the price alert last night for the same price on the 38WN95C at Amazon. It has been $1299 elsewhere before though and the tight arse in me is struggling to pull the trigger above that.

Those with 38" ultrawides, are they really worth the premium over 34" ultrawides?

i do not own a 34", however i very much appreciate the extra vertical pixels of my 38" over my 27inch 1440p monitors and the 49inch ultrawides i have used. If i could go with one monitor only it would definitely be a 38" ultrawide, from all the monitors ive used and tested it just seems to be the sweet spot.

Thank you, appreciate the feedback. Without trying, I'm thinking it is the sweet spot also, imagining a 49 it just seems too wide and the 34" seems a little small. Shame it is such a jump up in price for 38".

    • I went from a 34 dell to a 38 (this screen) and really appreciate the extra height and Hz. I have also had the use of a 49 and found it too wide (odd because I have also had a 2 and a 3x 27" 1440 setup in the past). 38" is the sweet spot in my option for ultra wide. I could have previously gone with a Dell / Alienware 38 but this with thunderbolt was better for me with two device (mac laptop, win gaming desktop on displayport).

      • Thank you for your feedback. The thunderbolt 3 is what is appealing to me about this model also, my setup would be the same, Mac on thunderbolt, gaming desktop on DisplayPort.

    • I went from a Xiaomi 34" to an Alienware 38". I was never completely happy with the Xiaomi to be honest, but the main reason for the upgrade was that it wasn't quite big enough for 2 webpages side by side for my particular (work) use case. Although I guess with Windows 11 screen snapping options, it might have worked, but it was just a bit annoying at the time trying to get one browser the right size and everything else to fit. The 38" is just big enough to do 50-50 and leave it at that (again, for my particular scenario). Also my original desk couldn't really fit 2 27" (or bigger) monitors ha.

The extra vertical pixels are also a bonus.

      • The 50-50 or perhaps 60-40 side by side is really what I'm looking for in going ultrawide so I can have vs code on one side and browser on the other to see the changes as I save them without flicking between the two. It is great to hear you find it works well with a 38". Thank you for your comment.

        • To be fair, it did work okay with the 34" for general use too, it's just some of the pages I had to look at couldn't quite scale down to the (side by side) size.

I definitely do prefer the 38" though. :D

      • Yeah I found the same. 38" is perfect for 50/50. 34 is a bit tight.

I'm usually just using outlook and browser/excel

    • You might appreciate this option closer to $1200

  • Any upcoming deals on 48GQ900?

I want to get this just to put wide putin as my desktop background

  • Good deals and Happy Lunar New Year ❤️

  • I have the same sized screen and love it. Great for both productivity and gaming.

  • With 70 more pixels compared to 32:9 FHD resolution (3840x1080)

    Woah, so many extra pixels!

    • If that dont make you say shut up and take my money. I don't know what will.
