Which Watch Should I Buy from Starbuy's Weekend Sale?

I spent all day looking for stuff to buy and only bought a Sandisk 1tb portable SSD for $89. This is unacceptable. So I will buy the watch with the most votes.

Bulova - I don't mind Bulova because they have some cool designs and I have bought a couple that are still unwrapped. I dunno why I buy them and dont take them out and put them in one of my watch boxes. The only one I'm interested in is the Bulova Marine Star 98B350 because it looks mean. I only have one other watch with a red dial. I might actually take this out of the box, adjust the bracelet and wear it once before I put it away forever.

Citizen - I've owned so many Nighthawks over the years, but finally settled on a blue dial with sapphire, perpetual cal, and radio control that doesn't work here, so the brown one is off the table, as are all the chronos (I have too many) and the green diver (I have the red one). The Citizen Aqualand JP2000-67L is like a romcom "will they? won't they?" relationship I've had with this watch for over a year. I know it's huge, but will fit on my wrist, but it'll most likely look asbsolutely ridiculous, and I wouldn't care because it's ana-digi and dope af. The other one is the Citizen Ltd Edition BN4055-35W which is equally crazy, but I like the bund strap. The dial is very busy, yet legible and has lots of interesting elements. The titanium case with the matte grey/gunmetal coating looks great, as does the rose gold bezel.I don't know what "azimuth measurement & azimuth correction" is but it sounds like some Harry Potter shit. There's also the FOMO factor with only 600 pcs worldwide.

G-Shock - there is only one I like, the G-Shock MF GM2100MF-5A. Love the colour and the metal. Problem is, I have 3 of this model already, and my G-Shock box is full, so I'll have to get rid of one.

Oris - Hard pass. I don't hate Oris but I'd rather get a used Sinn.

Seiko - I refuse to buy a 5. Not interested in any of the Presages. Already own the "JDM" tuna, have a SPB097J which is just a better version of the SNE591P, and ordered the Arnie already.

Squale - idk what this is

So we're left with 4, but I'm going to veto the G-Shock because I have too many and I never wear them. One angry looking Bulova v an ana-digi dive watch v another crazy looking Citizen and I have no idea what half of the stuff on the dial means. What are the yellow pointed hands? What to the buttons on the left do? Is that a vent? maybe a speaker? Who knows? So mysterious!

All three watches are huge, but each one is unique, and I'd be happy with any result. This forum is so dead. I wouldn't be surprised if there are only 5 votes and there's a tie. Then I'll flip a coin. If there's a 3-way tie with 6 votes cast, I'll buy all 3 if Starbuy gives me a discount.

Edit: had to end the poll early because dunno when the sale will finish. Citizen LE wins! (I accidently voted for the Bullova because Ive never done a poll before)

    bulova

I always was firm on 97B168 being the best marine star… but now that you mention it, the red dial DOES speak to me 🤔

    • It's funny because there are so many Marine Stars. The red one gives off a "get the (profanity) away from me " vibe. The 97B168 gives off a "I wear boat shoes, pressed chino shorts, Polo long sleeve shirt with sleeves rolled up, and a cardigan tied around neck" type vibe. Get the much cheaper and more versatile 96B287.

I thought i was bad with my Swatch watches 🤣

    • Swatches are cool, but I'm glad i never got into them.

I like the Citizen Limited Edition. Reminds me of the watch I would have wanted when I was 9.

@WatchNerd might be able to help. They post lots of watch deals from StarBuy.

    • I doubt they'll care about a silly poll

I rearely neg ppl, but you asked for it.

      • Funny, I have been driving dozens of times past its factory. Sort of leaves a legacy in one's mind.
My bro is a watchmaker but I am a mobile phone time reader…..

I’d go one of the citizens. The holes on the side for both of them are your sensors. On the aqua land it’s your dive depth sensor and on the LE that is your altitude sensor.

altitude sensors generally work by using barometric pressure and then give you an indication of your altitude. When compared to a GPS device they are quite accurate (I’ve tested them up to just under 6000m in the Himalayas)

    • Thanks for the info. So two sensors I'd never use. I have no interest in diving, but might climb in the future if I can fit enough

I would ask why buy any but I'll let you do you. 1st poll option selected, just to help you out of your misery :)

I finally voted. Was curious why it was showing the question mark
