1 Account 3 Numbers, Change Ownership for All 3 Numbers on Woolworths Mobile

Hi All,

Need advice please, I currently have one Woolworths mobile account with three (3) mobile numbers.

How could I split them up separately and transfer it into another person's name?

Woolworths mobile have advised that it cannot be done within its account, only can change ownership to one person for all 3 numbers.

Port the number to another provider. Change ownership there and port back to woolworths.

Seems stupid woolies wont move just one number

    • Budget MVNOs offer limited service when you compare them with full-fledged Telcos.

      • I'm learning that right now with a relative setting up Catch Connect. Makes me glad I just pay the Telstra Tax.

      • Amaysim allowed me to transfer all 3 of my children's numbers to them. Initially was told $20 per, but they waived it
        .

    • good idea, thank you. Will do that

      • who did you port to? Did you have to buy a SIM card and credit?

        • I ended up just buying Lebra starter pack for $4 (on special), should of purchased the boost mobile ones that had a cashback profit. Time restricted me to wait for it in the mail.

Conpleted my change of ownership recently and waiting for 30days to pass then port back into Woolies (with referral code).

          • @Dunkylala: Thank you for replying! Is there a reason you're waiting 30 days? Just to use up the credit and not waste it or is that a requirement of Woolies?

    • Hi Twobit, unfortunately I just saw this Forum now as I have the same issue. My wife and I have 12 month plans ending Aug 1 2024. I want to change ownership for my wife. If I port my wife to another provider don't I lose the remaining months left under Woollies?

    Classic ozbargain

  • 2 girls one cup

    • done that and changed the account rather than split it up. Thanks though

  • I am in this same situation. Stupidly assumed my 12yo daughter wouldn't be allowed to have her own mobile account so I set it up under my name. Now she is getting older I want her to have ownership of it but can't transfer it to her. What did you end up doing? I understand I need to port it away but not sure what is the easiest or cheapest way to do this. I'm spewing as she will also lose all of her data bank but better to do it now I guess. At least then I'll get another 10% discount voucher every month. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
