I'd say you've had enough by the looks of it.

I'm stuck at work watching the clock reading OB… wish I had a beer in my hand.

        • oh how we all know that feeling :)

  • hic.

  • That's BS, no beer.. I WAS going to reccomend to wine drinking family & friends but no deal now!!! :P

    • +6

Because your "wine drinking family & friends" only drink beer?

  • what? Excludes Bin 128 & 28?

    • Yeah disappointed with the penfolds exclusions!

    • A few enterprising individuals decided not to follow the T&Cs on recent vouchers and tried to buy up big on anything with Penfolds on the label, so unfortunately we're not offering those products at a discount for the time being… sorry!

ooh. Thanks op! The website has a good sense of humour too :) as indicated on their "freight-rate" page http://www.winemarket.com.au/FREIGHT-RATES

The churton sauvignon blanc is really good. If you like standard Marlborough SB you are well catered for in almost every liquor store in the country. But this is special. It's almost like a chardonnay. It's rich, subtle, French style and can be cellared for a few years (due to its oak/quality grapes.) It's rated 91 by Bob Campbell. 91 is a very high score from him.

Thanks for the suggestion, but you forgot to use the phrase "subtle notes of <insert obscure fruit/timber/grain/mythical creature>" in your description :)

        Inverse snob are we?

OK. I hate wine. I love VB and Carlton Draught because they taste gud.

        Here's a website you'd love: http://www.ozwinereview.com/

    • Is there something else like this great value on Winemarket to buy ? I missed the Churton unfortunately as the voucher code wouldn't work.

  • If you like normal sauvignon blanc (hello ladies!) the Ara Footpath SB should be good - I've had their wines before and they are a cut above. $70 deliverd is superb.

I'm liking this company more and more!!

    From their T&C
"If a case of wine was purchased, and the buyer has only opened one bottle and not liked it, they need only notify WineMarket and be able to make the remaining bottles available for collection (unopened and in original saleable condition) to obtain a refund of the price of the whole case."

It goes on to say that they reserve the right to withdraw this if the customer abuses it. good stuff :)

  • Cracking deal. Just ordered another case of the Peter Lehmann BAck to Basics Shiraz. Its gorgeous. Would be around the $20 mark but here its $7.50 a bottle

Kind of glad this excludes beer as the Best before date can be more of an issue with that. For wine though - i don't bother shopping anywhere else

  • I missed out the tawny port deal on GWD last week hoping to get some but I can't search for any tawny ports…

  • I purchased from WineMarket via a previous deal and received beer that was past its best before date. This was not advertised prior to purchase and I would not have gone ahead with the transaction had I known.

While they did refund me, I had to spend time dealing with a courier to pick the item up. I cannot recommend WineMarket after that experience.

i couldnt care if the beer is past its best before date, as long as it gets me where i need to go..

  • Anything for $21? Wine for -a buck is a steal!

    • You'd still have to pay 8 bucks for shipping I think :)

    • What is the minimum spend above $20:)

    • +1

A steal? Maybe. Enjoyable to drink? Probably not. Life prolonging? Definitely not!!!!

Check out anything from our Naked Owl range, the Poet's Corner Shiraz Cab, or Tocca's Game.. all are under $70 a dozen and we can vouch for being super good for super cheap.

  • Nice one OP, am a regular shoper with these guys. This 20% off makes it a great deal, provided Aus Post don't try to walk off with the case like they did last time (I caught 'em out and the driver has been 'dealt with')

  • Not store wide

  • most inexpesnsive wine -

    REX WATSON SECTION 76 CHARDONNAY 2010 (12) $56 a case

  • -2

    Cheapest wine = yuk!

  • Was anyone else charged GST on the voucher value?!!

I was charged the order value less $18.18 plus $1.82 GST (ie. voucher gave only $16.36 off).
    I'm emailing them now.

I was confused at first too. But the total was correct.

    • +1

The voucher will give you $20 off your order total. The way it displays can make it seem like it's taking less than that, but as per Gump's comment, just check that $20 has come off your order total.. if you're interested in the long-winded technical explanation, as the voucher discount being a negative number, it calculates the GST as a positive number & adds it on. Sorry for the confusion.

  • I added wine to the shopping cart but Can't see where to enter the promotional code. Can anyone help?

    • on the review/confirm page. I know it's a bit odd to have the voucher/promo dialogue after they get your C/C number, but it's there!

      • Thanks a lot. It is weird indeed. I was hoping to pay with Paypal but then I guess you can't get $20 discount as once you go through pay pal there will be no field to enter the voucher code.

        • Hi Bob, you can definitely use PayPal with this offer. If you're using PayPal Express, the first opportunity to enter the code is on the final confirmation page.

How to.. after you've let our site and completed your PayPal login, you'll be returned back to Winemarket and asked to confirm all your details. On this page, enter the promo code into the Coupon Code box, apply it, check all your details, and then submit your order.

The process is a bit different to paying by plastic and the subtotal shown in PayPal may show as pre-discount, but the actual charge when we bill you will be the discounted amount if you follow the steps above.

  • Don't worry. They take $20 off your wine order, but then tell you how much of that is GST. Just accounting style.

  • bought Poet's corner for $4/bottle, anyone has any experience with this wine? well, guess I'll find out soon enough.

  • can anyone comment on what big woop tastes like? i just want to use it for mulled wine … but still it has to be decent. I made mulled wine with a $10 bottle and it tasted nice, the $5 cleanskin didn't turn out as good. So quality still makes a difference, just saying it doesn't have to be the best.

      • not sure i trust an american to review aussie wine lol … did watch the vid and he made some good points. Only 3 cases of big woop left when i looked, should have purchase - oh well. Got Poet's Corner instead which works out to be the same in terms of quantity and sounds like it might taste even better!
