    They should sign up more stores in Suburbs, very limited choice but they are good in CBD, talking Melbourne here.

      I was speaking to one of the restaurants I redeemed an offer at once (in SA) about how EatClub worked and I'm surprised that they actually have the amount of stores they do on there. Can't remember what the exact $ amount was, but the store actually pays EatClub a decent amount to be listed on there. With that fee and the discount combined, i guess it's a loss leader in the hope that it'll drum up more business, a bit like having a deal on Groupon.

        The cafe where I worked is paying $19/month subscription + $1 for every meal purchased. We offer of a 25% discount there but they keep encourage us to give 40%or 50% discount which is crazy lol .

        The purpose of the eat club for the cafe is not for profit, but to fill the "quiet hours" where normally no customers come, such as 3pm-5pm, etc. It's also a bit of an encouragement for marketing, like the Entertainment Book or Groupon.

        The only good thing is that we can choose whichever time and quantity of promos/offers easily and almost in real time, unlike Groupon or the Entertainment Book.
