Thank you I was just about to ask for Steam Deck (Just got one from the Kogan deal)
Bought this for $78.50 from Amazon over the weekend, works really well in the Steam Deck.
Partitioned it in half for Windows/SteamOS games storage.
So you can boot into both SteamOS and Windows at will ?
I have both OS' on the internal storage. You get a boot option when you power the device on which OS you want to go into.

How much memory does windows itself take up?
I trimmed it down to about 33GB for OS / Program Files etc. Left around 87Gb for Games and other applications once I split the inbuilt 256GB SSD in half.
I was planning on having windows on a micro sd card if it’s possible but not sure how much read/write speed will matter or if it needs more than 100mbps
@NuttyGoodness: I've seen people do it online, and say that it runs mostly fine. Just updating is slow.
Windows does do a lot of write operations so it might kill the card quicker
What's the difference in Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck ?
what is the point of puting windows on it? you have Steam OS it connects to you steam account… so unless your using origin or ubisoft or somethign else other than steam there is no point.

The Samsung EVO maxes out at 512gb so you can’t get one of them as a 1tb.

Hmm. One of mine did take a while to arrive from Bing Lee but it wasn't really something I needed so I didn't mind. Your experience sounds pretty bad. Is there anything you can do via eBay plus?
I had to click on Item has not arrived option in ebay which gives you the ability to send the seller a message for them to even act on it. They do not respond to normal message via contact seller ebay option.
I am in same boat. Ordered 2x and just sent a "contact seller" message via ebay but maybe I have to escalate a bit.

What is the advantage the Pro plus have over the evo plus? Since they are both U3 and A2?

The Pro Plus has faster maximum read and write speeds if you use it with a compatible card reader. This means that it will have the edge if you are doing file transfers with certain card readers but not much else.
If the card reader or device does not support it (and basically no device will support it), then it gets bottlenecked to similar speeds as the Evo Plus. Not much difference in price right now so don't see the harm in paying for the PRO Plus anyway.

Just normal. Nothing magical about it.

because I don't need to pay $13+ more just for a reader.
Not all readers will support the proprietary tech in the PRO Plus to reach the advertised speed. That reader will.
In a standard UHS-1 environment you can expect it to be bottlenecked to about 100MB/s read and 80MB/s write. Whether you care about the extra speed boost or will even use it is another story.
If you have a Macbook/Surface book/ or XPS then consider buying the ninja stealth drive, to leave Micro SD always flush in the laptop/notebook.
Will this size of SD card work with a Sony ZV1 digital camera?
Cannot see why not.
MicroSD cards work in the RX100 cameras with a SD adapter. The ZV-1 is basically a RX100 anyway so can't see why not.
I've used Samsung EVO microSD cards in my RX100 and Sony full frame cameras without issues and tested the PRO Plus microSD in my Sony full frame camera.

If you are concerned about speed, this is probably one of the fastest microSD cards so if it doesn't work then almost no microSD card on the market will lol.
For the 256GB model jbhifi will price match bing lee sale price of $36.
Can use discounted gift card (I used the Macquarie portal) to bring it down to almost the same price, but without eBay plus.

That's not the same one… the one in this deal is the PRO Plus with faster speeds, the one you linked is the EVO Plus.
You are correct sir. EVO has 130mb/s read & write and the PRO is labelled with 160mb/s read and 120mb/s write.
I hope it doesn’t make that much of a difference as both are A2 class cards.
