How much overlap is there between Foxtel basic and Fetch premium?

I have the legacy $30 a month foxtel pack that's going up to $50 at some stage. I tried doing a list of channels I had on each but it got really confusing when determining fetch only, foxtel only and both. Bonus question, can I get away with having my fetch mini on top of my foxtel iq4? It's away from the vents.

foxtel gave me a free upgrade, been a customer for years and reduced my package to basic, they then reinstated my upgrade for free

  • Foxtel's biggest pull is exclusive access HBO Content. Fetch has ESPN though and can also get Bein Sports.

    • At $6 per month for ESPN, and $19.95 for BeIN, getting Kayo instead ($25/month for a single stream) would be a much more attractive option given that it also includes the Fox Sports channels, Fox Sports News and racing.com.

Outside sport and movies, HBO content is definitely the biggest drawcard. If that is an issue, you can always subscribe to Binge on an as-needed basis from $10/month.

As mentioned in the Whirlpool thread, the best approach is to see what you want, and how the two services compare. One big advantage of the Fetch box is the ability to record three FTA channels at a time (and watch a 4th). Satellite/IP Foxtel only allows you to record one channel, and are missing many of them (7 Bravo, 9 Rush and 10 Shake).

      • Not interested in sports and it's only a fetch mini. There's no way I'd use the features of the next model up enough to justify the extra cost. I mean I'm only paying for foxtel because you can't get it at $30 a month anymore, and even then I think that expires this year.

Please check your DM mate, my access to Disney plus no longer works

      • And my binge stopped working (for the upteenth time). He probably shouldn't do the account sharing thing.
