Do They Always Check Boarding Pass for Priority Pass

Anyone here got priority pass?

Has anyone successfully used it for arrivals for lounges that don't check boarding pass in Australia?

Have heard some lounges don't check for boarding pass

Most airports in australia if not all, have the departure hall separated from arrival hall.

So I dont think you can access it regardless.

    • are we talking international or domestic?

priority pass also works in some domestic airports in Australia

  • They typically check boarding pass.
Have used PP a few times & each time was asked to show boarding pass. But the eateries (if lounge not available) are typically airside. Are you arriving, or meeting an arrival?

    What do the T&Cs say?

For Virgin you can use the lounge at the arriving airport. Done that a few times for coffee/snacks/freshen up. So it will come down to the T&Cs.

    • Is that virgin lounge? Which one?

      • Yes that is the virgin lounge. Done it many times at all domestic ones.

        • Virgin lounge hasn't accepted priority pass for many years. You need a lounge pass or gold status and above.

          • @redforever: Sorry didn't mean via PP access, just virgin lounge access in general. But as I said, what do the T&Cs say?

  • of course check. come on… imagine if not

    • Depends where. In the eateries I've tried in Melbourne (all of them in t3 and t4) they just ask for a flight number. Just look at the departure board and use one from there. Used that trick to get dinner on arrival last week.

  • I was in Sydney on the weekend and they scanned the boarding pass with the priority pass terminal. In Melbourne a few days earlier, they just asked me for my flight number without scanning the boarding pass.
