New beta feature has been rolled out this morning, and currently it's available to those signed up to beta features (turn it on in "Show beta features" under settings). You can now save whatever you have in the comment text box as draft, and drafts are automatically loaded into the text box when you reload the page.
It would be useful for composing a long comment or reply, or when you need to switch device, i.e. start commenting on laptop, switch over to mobile phone, finish writing & post.
- You can save at most 1 draft per comment text box
- You can save at most 20 drafts site-wide (this is to prevent people from leaving thousands of unfinished drafts)
- You can manage your comment drafts in your comments page, including deleting old drafts
Please test it out to see whether it works.
