Best Budget Wireless Network Card - Budget $50- $70

What's a decent PCI express card? preferably under $70 and a budget choice for $50?

My son just got his first computer. Mainly gaming and study. It has no Wi-Fi and no Bluetooth so maybe a card with Bluetooth also.

I have no idea as my own PC has built in.

Something that's not buggy or has issues.

Thanks

Why not USB? Any Linksys or Tp-Link around $15-$25 should be good.

    • USB has less range, has to share bandwidth with other usb devices and is less reliable. You’d definitely want PCIe Wi-Fi if it’s an option, especially if you’re going to be gaming

      • has to share bandwidth with other usb devices

You are not going to saturate a USB host with a wifi adapter.

prefer to save a usb slot on and use pci. Plus all the info is pci is faster and less lag than usb? his room is a decent distance from the modem in the lounge

Any PCIe card that uses Intel AX200 or AX210 should work fine if you want WiFi 6 + Bluetooth 5, regardless of brand (example). You can go cheaper by going to Intel 7260 which is WiFi 5 + Bluetooth 4 as well (example).

    • That one you linked is good is it Retro? cheers i'll get that one

      • I can't say vI've personally used them but if I needed one, I'd be happy with either of those. I'd go the cheaper one as I don't personally have WiFi 6 anyway.

    • I updated my crappy realtek chip on my B450 motherboard (ITX) to a mini AX200 chip and it was substantially better/more stable. +1 to the AX200 or above range.

  • Stick with an Intel chipset.
