Is it just me or do Chemist Warehouse fragrances smell like knockoffs? I compare them to the ones I buy from Myer and with CW the smell is like 10% of what it should be.
I just opened the Givenchy Pi I bought from CW and nobody can smell anything even though I drench myself in it. This is the 3rd time this happens to me with CW fragrances. Never had this experience with Myer or even Priceline.Fragrances degrade over time. CW probably have old batches.
Good point. Is there a manufacturing date anywhere, either voluntary or by law? Should be.
Everything i have bought from chemist warehouse has had valid batch codes no older than a year, fresher stock than what i have bought from retail chains in westfields
Bought Montblanc Explorer and issey miyake intense pour homme from CW and they perform well. May be I'm lucky :). You can check the batch as mentioned by @Meg4.

If you like woody, peppery and citrusy fragrance, you may love this. Little bit heavier compared to the citrusy Terre d'Hermes (tester only - so may not be valid). To me, it is subtle (or weak projection?) but I often received compliments. It is like you enter the room quietly but people still notice your presence.
Tried the tester directly to your body. I tested on paper and the smell of the pepper is too strong.
Someone already said something along the line that they put their stuffs on the glass facing the sun and that would make it even worst.

Yeah CW often has relatively older stock but usually you can find recent batches.
I use https://m.checkcosmetic.net/ to check batch date every time I buy from CW.
It could also be like how companies make shittier versions of products for Bunnings.
Chemist Warehouse absolutely do not sell knockoffs. However, they often sell slightly older stock - which is sometimes even more desirable for the more expensive fragrances.

ok, just picked it up, and its pretty damn good by my tastes! Not the fishing trawler we had feared, but rather a pleasant light sweet floral, with a slightest hint of spice and a westerly sea breeze. Has an understated sophistication, without being arrogant about it.

Saw Nautica Voyage having this promo price for couple of years already (I bought mine in 2017 around $15 too). They reduce the price to get rid of their old stocks or the item has been discontinued. It seems this one will disappear soon, like my favourite Montblanc Explorer and Issey Miyake Intense Intense Pour Homme.
I much prefer the other issey ones, worth the extra and CW still sell them.
Versace Eau Fraiche Eau de Toilette is a good one from CW, sometimes on special .
chemist warehouse often has low stock for the more sought after fragrances probably due to lower level of stock from grey market and also usually the best prices.
Bought one from CW before. Smells really nice but does not last very long. Maybe a couple of hours at most. Could be because of CW's old stock as some said.

Really great cologne especially for its price. Its like a great summer fragrance, especially if youre going out and being in the sun. Its a cologne id wear at the beach or sailing. Its projection isnt too bad but the longevity is maybe a few hours. But for 15$ who cares?
You are right. I used it as an after shave for sometime. Longevity was only a few hrs. Great for $15.

This fragrance is overhyped by all the youtubers. It is a very standard fresh marine blue type fragrance. It smells a little feminine due to the sweet floral notes which might not be everyone's thing. To me, I get notes of cucumber which is not listed as one of the official characteristics. Projection and longevity are fairly weak and you have to be very generous with the sprays. This is a 5 out of 10 fragrance.

Within all price range. Even if it sold at $100 or $200, it doesnt change the fact that it is a weak boring blue fragrance to me. Perfume is subjective.

Could be 5 out of 10 fragrance in your opinion but I would say about 7 out of 10 for the price. Bit feminine I agree. Not cucumber but melon in my opinion. Longevity is weak but have actually received compliments for the fragrance at least.

Don't use it anymore. Doesn't last long enough. Using Polo blue parfum and Chanel Bleu. Tried Dior Sauvage at Myer the other day but find that Chanel Bleu is better IMHO.
@donkeyrollers: Polo Blue, Bleu de Chanel and Dior Sauvage are all great perfumes. Like yourself, I personally prefer Bleu de Chanel and also Chanel Allure Sport Extreme (because of the pepper note) but the one that gets me the most compliments from all genders out the 3 above is Sauvage. Something about the strong sweetness and the notes of ambroxan appear to be mass market appealing.
Strangely the ones that I really like personally like Tom Ford Ombre Leather, Noir Extreme, YSL Tuxedo, Penhaligion Duchess Rose and some interesting ones never get any compliments. In the fact, the one that gets me the most compliments is 1 Million which I dont personally like. I have come to the conclusion is that if you want compliments, get the strongest smelling sweet perfume that will choke you so it is strong enough to project out to others.
