Xbox Wireless Controller Adapter for Windows 10/11

Hi All,

I need to purchase the adapter by itself as realized I want wireless and I don't need another Xbox Controller.

This looks legit but no feedback on the listing: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/203694210515.

Are there any cheaper official adapters? maybe this? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/165819409352.

I would like to get it within the next two weeks (C&C or delivery)

TIA

If you have a newer xbox controller they have bluetooth built in. If you don't have a newer one then you need the adaptor.

    • So they're selling this for the newer controllers even though it's not even needed? Microsoft link - https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/d/xbox-wireless-controller-w…

iirc there's some other advantages to using it, resending is easier and something to do with audio over headphone jack and number of controller's synced limit, but if you just want to sync one controller and you have bluetooth already then bluetooth will be fine.

        • oh sounds like I still need it then for the audio over headphone jack.

          • @BLAIL: Yeah, unfortunately. Unless you connect controller straight to PC with a USB cable, but that's not very convenient.

easier to pair, up to 8 controllers, lower latency and as you said audio over headphone jack

the 2 ebay links are probably imitations since they brand is "MS" and Unbranded.

official microsoft store on ebay used to sell it but not anymore for some reason

    • damn - was hoping the high feedback rating on the $35 one was actually a legit one

your best option would to buy the bundle and sell off controller. you might just lose out $5-10

        • Would this work for the new controllers? https://au.webuy.com/product-detail/?id=885370900095

          • @BLAIL: that is the old version that is much bigger

          • @BLAIL: Yep the V1 will work just the same as V2 however it's physically larger is the main difference. I ordered this one and the newer one arrived anyway. YMMV

            • @jk82: I ended up just buying the bundled controller one, sold controller to a mate for about $10 loss…also thought i'd buy a spare, didn't want to do that again so I took a chance on one from aliexpress and its legit.

  • I am pretty sure I bought mine from JB HiFi a year or so ago but now they only seem to sell it with a controller for over $100 :(

  • ahhh, i just returned a new xbox controller with the adapter included, $79 from amazon cuz i got the 8bitdo ultimate for free.

  • Xbox dongle starts to hard to come by, while PS4 dongle is practically non-exist by now. The price tags on PS4 dongles are crazy. Kind of regret not to purchase one while it was available and on discounts.

  • I got mine from CEX online. It's advertised as V1 but the V2 stick arrived. I know they're hard to come by!

And yes it's miles better than bluetooth! Much less input lag and you also get all the features with windows as if it were wired - xbox accessories app etc.
