Most OzB deals for speciality coffee ends up being around the $25-$30 mark after discount including shipping.

I love trying a variety of coffee here on OzB but 14% doesn’t quite cut it for me.

    • I think most are over $30/kg now

14% is good enough for me if it's not overpriced to begin with and it's truly remarkable coffee. Haven't tried so can't say.

Not a big enough discount for me to Chubb up

  • Coffee has definitely gone up over the last 8 months. I'm now paying $55 a kg instead of $46.

Just got 1kg dark roast @ Aldi for $11.99.

I have dirt outside which would taste better..
You also have coffee which was roasted around 14 months ago and sat in a warehouse for just as long.

      • Can’t compare to aldi. Aldi uses coffee as a loss leader

        • +1

Not comparing, just providing a cheaper option because this is Ozbargain.

      • Gonna have to disagree on this WN.
If there's one thing that I love more than watches it's my coffee.
And Aldi beans don't cut it. Any bean that is "drinkable" is not good enough in my opinion.
Coffee is an art and also is culture where you can do it for the social aspect or you do it because it's a passion.
Aldi is the equivalent of social drinking. Freshly roasted beans from Roastery is a different level completely. In all honesty the golden bean don't have many good roasters there.
I buy my coffee from euroespresso and found there beans to be the nicest in Australia. But you wouldn't see them at the list of beans in the award.
In saying that if you are happy with drinkable coffee. Aldi is best bang for back

Not sure what you're disagreeing with though, I never said it was better than expensive brands. Just provided a cheaper option.

          • @WatchNerd: Lol I responded to the wrong comment. Was meant to respond the comment with the link.
And was more around using golden bean as a leverage to promote the aldi coffee
Sorry about it being a little disjointed.

        • Wtf is the golden bean?

  • Never tried Chubbs coffee, but the valentines marketing pitch doesn't inspire me to try. Coffee is not romantic!

Lately I've been enjoying coffee beans from Melba and Reverence. Both excellent.
