  • Some Pro Plus vs EVO benchmarks here: https://imgur.com/a/35oku6V

You'll notice basically no difference on a standard UHS-I or unsupported UHS-II reader (90%+ of devices). Would find it hard to recommend at this price if you just need the card when the normal EVO plus hits ~$30 regularly. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/750480

If you are after a USB reader though I guess its not so bad.

    • So you are saying Evo plus and Pro Plus have the same read/write speeds? I am no expert, so I don't know much. But why would they sell two different versions of the SD card if that's the case?

      • The PRO Plus is faster if you have specific gear to support the higher speeds. UHS-I is capped at 104MB/s and the PRO Plus implements proprietary technology to get around the limitation. If you don't have a compatible device then you won't see the difference. Even the EVO Plus can't reach its advertised speed on the majority of readers and devices (Results for SanDisk ExtremePro UHS-II SD Reader SDDR-409-G46 in the benchmarks show a UHS-II card reader that is capable of much faster speeds being capped at UHS-I speeds for both EVO/PRO).

  • will this work on a Nintendo switch?
