For me:
Body Wash = Acne.
I hope that you don’t use body wash or soap on your face?
Both are much too harsh, that would be the cause of the acne of so (forcing your face to produce much more oil). You need a gentle face cleanser for your face.
i use bar soap on my face..cleans away all the dirt and oils.

I feel like a lot of people still uses this bar of soap. Whenever chemist warehouse has these on discounts they are always out of stock in a lot of places and not available for online ordering. It's also been ages since these are half price in coles and woolworths.
I like this soap and still has not forgotten the feeling the first time I used this to clean my ass. Lol.

@OzBoganYeah: It leaves a very slippery feeling on the skin because it is apparently is 1/4 moisturizing cream.
Probably trauma from dropping the soap and picking it up…
some people think bar soap is "gross" and harbours bacteria or something.
while i use both bars and liquid, i definitely get more use out of the bar.
It’s also disconcerting seeing a pubic hair or 2 attached to the soap bar, even if the said pubic hair is your own. It’s a good incentive to keep the pubes trim and tidy.
If you do cold showers use liquid soap. If you love losing hair, are a little beesh who's scared of the cold and loves acne all over their body, use dove soap bar :) (incoming oooweee me offended comments)

@Matt P: Try washing your hair in cold water vs hot. See how much hair falls and youll get your answer. Most people cant because its too cold for them -_- but yeah cold showers 6 out of 7 days of the week is good for you not just for your hair your muscles as well. DYOR or better yet try it for a week and see how you feel

It's $1 a bar anyway at the reject shop. I'd use more in fuel just getting to the closest CW, for a 60c saving for me personally.
Looks like Dove/Unilever has shrinkflated their bars of soap from 100g to 90g. Coles/Woolworth are now only selling 90g bars.

For acne treatment, I use brut aftershave lotion for my 14 year old son, and it gives an amazing result. For smelly feet, dilute copper sulphate in water and use few drops of feet before putting shocks, no more smelly feet.
soap bar vs body wash, what's more cost effective?
Anecdotally, bars of soap will last longer, 4bars of soap $4, one body wash bottle $4.
The bottle of body wash wouldn't last as long as the 4 bars of soap if you're lathering the same for same.
Great soap to use as a shrink aid for window tinting.
