Laser Air Duster 400ml $8 in-Store + Delivery + Surcharge @ Centre Com (Price Beat from $7.60 @ Officeworks)

100

My first post after considerable lurking, please bare with me.

So yeah, while Centre Com say it's reduced from $16 for them, it's Officeworks' standard canned air duster brand normally priced at $9.95 so really it's like ~23% saving.

Centre Com Surcharges: 1.2% Card & PayPal, 2% AmEx

I guess, if it suits better, you could potentially hit up Amazon for a price match too since they're the same as OW.

I grabbed 3 cans from Officeworks about an hour ago, matched no dramas =D

If you're close to a click and collect location, umart has a comparable one for $6. https://www.umart.com.au/product/cruxtec-ads01-400ml-air-dus…

    • good find

  • around $10 shipped for Amazon Prime member.

  • Also $8 at Kmart … if thats more convenient to you

    • Sold out online but may still be available in some stores

FYI, since HFCs were banned, these just contain alkanes, same as those common camp cookers. Same as the propellant in flyspay.

So when it is empty, keep the nozzle, and put on these to save money:

$1.50 each is a lot better than $8!

    • I just gave it a try, but I burnt my eyebrows off!!!

      • Did you think the "air duster" contains actual air? It is equally flammable.

        • Personal experience, hey? Have u burned a anything yet?

  • Amazon don’t price match on request, they generally update prices when they see them lower elsewhere.

    • Ahh right. I'd always assumed they did seeing comments like "Amazon matched" but yeah, that makes sense

  • So much landfill created from these things. Buy something like this instead: [https://www.pccasegear.com/products/36730/metrovac-datavac-esd-safe-electric-duster-ed-500esd]

You're recommending someone who might not even go through one can in a year to instead spend $200 on an electric duster?

The only people who should be buying that are repair shops.

I can vouch for this device. Also use it for cleaning out the dyson stick vacuum, as well as cleaning crevices in the car. Rock solid and worth every cent.

    • How does the strength go vs the canned versions?

    Just some gentle advice…

Requesting others “bare” with (you) after admitting to “considerable lurking” seems like a good way to get yourself arrested!

In an unexpected quality of life experience, I borrowed my dad's leaf blower and a few seconds at the open side of my computer cleaned it out.
You can change the power of them, just use a lower power mode.

  • Used to love Kand Air.
For educational purposes only. Absolutely do not do this.
    Years ago…
Grab yourself some Kodak 35mm film plastic containers.
Invert Kand Air and spray some in the plastic container. Experience will get to tell you how much.
    Quickly close lid.
Wait (experience will tell you how long).
    Launch at enemy.
On impact, the lid will "explode" off with a noise loud enough to make them jump. And the lid and container might hit something interesting.
